I've been receiving these calls a lot for the past two weeks. How to I get them to stop calling me. My service provider doesn't except collect calls from my phone, but they still keep calling. I have no family or friends that I know of there.

This is a company that does collect calls for inmates. It is not a scam. If you have someone in jail this is the service that allows them to make a call to you.

I just got a call from this number saying it is a collect call from "someone" in the Twin Towers jail. I know that LASD in California call their jail the Twin Towers. No way would I accept a call from this number, in this manner. Who would???

i dont kno but that number keeps coming up on my cell ,i dont want them to call me i live so far away and they call and think i am going to execpt the charges u got to be kidding me ,that would be a 15$ call huh thats crazy they need to sto calling

Called police and they said it was a scam. If you call 877-650-4249 and tell them to put a block on your phone they will. This person that called me several times was at the Twin Towers Jail, in LA county California. Hopefully this will help others. It is my understanding if you do as the caller asks press* and this long number it ties him into that persons phone and you get billed. Nice.......What will they think up next?

This is from the harris county jail in downtown houston texas. You can try calling 713-755-5300 (jail information)for information for your friend. You will need their full name and date of birth at least. however, you will not be able to speak to the friend. The number 713-981-0098 is a collect call pay phone in the jail tank where prisoners can make one collect call a day. You will have to go there during visiting hours from 5-9 pm with a proper identification. Be cautious tho if you have any warrants anywhere..they will lock you up right then as well.

I received calls twice from this number, I called everyone who I would think might be in jail. It's seems to be a scam to get you credit card information.

Thank you... thank you!!I had been getting these bogus and extremely annoying calls all week. The number you provided was the real customer service (option 3 to speak with alive representative) who was able to block all calls from all county and local prison systems.

I keep getting calls from the number 713-981-0098 and I would like to know who it is and what they want. They call me at least 3 times a day and if I answer they hang up immediately and if it goes to voice mail it tells me to set up an account with Global Link. I do not want to receive these calls and have tried calling both Global Link and the other number back and can't get ahold of anyone. This is harassment!!!!
