it's also a jail in Ohio. It's not a scam; it's the latest and greatest way to make a collect call in order to have someone bail you out of jail. ugh
I have been receiving calls for the last 24 hours ( more than 15 calls ) I do not want to receive this type of calls as I really think this is some kind of a scam. Please ensure that I do not get any more of the calls.
Got a call this morning from this same number. I live in Houston and recognized that it was a Houston number but just didn't know the number. I answered and got a recording saying it was a collect call from....then call dropped. Cell rang again a few minutes later from same number. Same thing happened. I waited for a minute or two then called the number back but got a busy signal. Waited a few more minutes then called the number again. This time it kept ringing but no one picked up so I hung up. That was all that happened. I'm not aware of anyone I know that is in jail or prison. How would I know if any of my email accounts have been hacked without logging on so not to risk it being hacked?
many, gtl is a provider of phone services to jails/prisons across the u.s. ... I'm in MI and talk so someone every other day, caller id either lists gtl and this number or "private name, private number"... while they aren't a "scam" as such, their prices are highway robbery
I just got another call from it. I know people that have been in and out of prison. But have never, and will never useit
WOW. Every time someone comes up with a good idea, there is always someone that finds a way to abuse it. I think that's what is happening....
