Wouldn't Macy's "Credit Operations" be calling from a Toll Free Number?? I received a call from this number and called it back. a man with a very thick Indian accent wanted my account # and phone #. I refused to give it to him. When I tried to log in to my Macy's account it told me I had the incorrect password. I immediately changed my password and refused to give the man any of my personal information.
I can confirm this is Macy's credit. I called back and they had all the details on my account.
These people have been calling me for a week, 10 or 12 times a day! First they used the name MACY'S, Then MACY'S/BLOOMIES, the latest being MCCS. As fast as I block one number, the use another. One of these days, I will run out of space on my block list... Very annoying!
I believe its from some sort of a collection agency that is working for Macy"s to collect their overdue accounts.
I only answer calls from numbers that I recognize. They didn't leave a message on my answering machine
This number has been calling my home phone more than once a day almost everyday. I picked up once to find out who this is but no answer.
So got the call from 1 727 556-5772, and answered said hello bunch of times and finally a man asked for me, I asked what it's regarding and he said its personal business. I hung up. They call non-stop. Looks like Macy's has hired a bunch of GANGSTERS to handle their debt collection. The worst part is I do have a Macy's American Express and when I've used it, I always paid the bill online through my bank on or before due date. I still received statements from Macy's saying I never made a payment (even though I did). The Macy's credit card customer service rep said the Macy's inhouse account is not linked to the Macy's American Express account, which means if I pay the bill to Macy's American Express, it's not going to get applied to Macy's in house account number. Apparently, there's 2 account numbers when you get a macys charge and numbers are not linked, so that's why I'm getting the collection calls, even though everything was already straightened out. For that reason, I'm canceling my card with them. The way this debt/collection agency operates is relentless, unprofessional, unethical and ruthless. They operate like loan sharks and they're GANGSTERS! They call people all day, every day and even late at night. If Macys doesn't act quickly to resolve the issues with this debt agency they're linked with, they will have a HUGE law suit on their hands. Macy's, clean up your act! It's a disgrace!
