I just received a call from this 732-225-6190 about the HR Director coming across my resume and that they would like me to come in for an interview. When I asked what job they were hiring for I was told Management and other positions but would have to speak with the HR Director to find out exactly what job and the pay. They wanted me to bring in my resume along with references. When I asked if I would get a confirmation email detailing the interview and address and whom I was to meet with I was informed well you wrote down the information correct? As the emails do not go out sometimes so I can't say if you will get one confirming or not. Let me tell you as an HR professional I would never conduct a "interview" call in that manner to which you are giving a potential applicant. As I read these comments, I was going to go for the interview just to refresh my interviewing skills but will not now. These calls need to stop as I am not looking for a sales position and if they have to trick a person to come in then I don't want to be a part of that company.
I got a call this morning from eileen while I was asleep at 8:45am for a job with torchmark corp. I googled the phone number as I was going to take a ride to see where it was since I'm instints were telling it.sounds like a scam. When I went to the place at 7:45pm the parking lot was full and people were in there but not dressed in professional attire. Also the name torchmark wa nowhere on the building it was giglione-ackerman agency. Decided to do a,bit more research on the way home. Found this group and decided I'm going to call her tomorrow and see if she.can tell me what position and the details and if she.cant I'm going to tell her I cant make it
Got a phone call from someone wanted me to go in and meet with a David Ackremin sounded sketchy a hell didnt go and waste my time they called once more to make me go I hung up and they never called me back. My mother is a nurse at a nearby hospital when I asked if she ever head of them and if they were legit she said stay away and it would be a waste of time if you recieve a call and position from them don't bother just hang up out will save you time and energy hope no one goes in for an interview goid luck to everyone who reads this.
I got the same exact call from "Eileen"as well- I realized she didnt mention what the position was for asked me to come for interview. I Called back and left message asking for a callback before interview. She called back and couldnt tell em the job title. I told her I would never interview for a job that I didnt know thw job title of...Using Monster.com to fish for people looking for jobs- thats where I made the mistake of posting resume
I thought I was going for an administration job and only to find out it was to sell life ins and have to pay $199 to take a state test, if this company really wants you to work for them, the should be paying the money for test. I was there for over 3 hours today, sitting realizing I think this is a scam. I come home and research to find out all what people are saying about this place. I won't be going on my 3rd interview. I asked them a few questions when the called me back and when they said they couldn't respond to that because they don't have a license, WTF? Later Giglione
I have gotten several calls from this number. Responded to the first one in 2011 and discovered it was a "Boiler Room" - phone solicitors looking to get union members insurance. I am not a salesman anyway (tried in vain to sell radio advertising in the latter part of the 20th Century) and my back immediately went up. The number came up again today...thought I recognized it but answered anyway. After talking to someone whose name I can't recall my gut instinct kicked in (it's 99 and 44/100 percent accurate), Googled "Torchmark" (which was the name of the company he gave me) and found this, and another one like this. I'll stick to what I'm doing. Oh, BTW, they called me back again as I was typing this!
I received the same call for an interview on Saturday. They said they were expanding 4 offices and had openings in various positions. I verified that I was not interested in a Sales position and was assured it wasn't.
I'm so glad that I googled this company and found all of these comments. I just got a call from Matt to schedule an interview tomorrow with his manager before I meet with the big wig, David Ackerman in Eatontown, NJ. The call sounded so scripted and my gut told me it was too good to be true as well. Thanks everyone.
