Just got a call from Caller ID # 760-705-8888 in Encino, California. Caller knew my name & address. Said he was calling from UPS & wanted to know if I would be home on Thurs. to accept a package of a Apple Macbook Pro. Said it was shipped by Apple & that $180 check had been received as a deposit. He then said that the Balance owed was over $700 which was why he was calling to make sure someone would be home to receive the Pkg. I smelled SCAM since I never use the number he called me on & didn't order anything from Apple. Even if I did I would never send a Check. Who uses paper checks anymore???? I would like to put an end to people trying to SCAM people over the phone. Also it's pretty scary that the caller knew my name & address & had a phone # for me that I never give out to anyone. Any suggestions ????
Hey I got a call from this number and did not know who it was. I could not call it back so I logged on here and saw all of the many messages. I dialed my home phone from my Google chrome and this is the number that comes up. The caller id reads Escondido CA 760-705-8888.. So rather it is a scam or not remains to be seen but it is for sure someone calling from Google Chrome. Hope this helps....

If you guys don't know anyone that would call you with Google Voice, just block the number. Those of us who do use the service legitimately can always find alternate means to contact you if need be, if we actually know you.
I ordered Quickbooks from Staples. A guy named Bradley called from this number to let me know that Quickbooks was giving a free session of tutoring. Really? Didn't happen last time I bought Quickbooks. He's been emailing me as well but with quite a few misspelled words and that always throws up red flags to me. If I need help, I'll ask.
This guy's name is James Pollok. His address is 8300 Central Park Avenue, Skokie, Illinois. Called our escort service, sent a girl there and he held a gun to her head.
