What does it take to make these Ignorant Inbred Morons at United Healthcare and their Stupid friends at AARP and Enhanced Recovery to understand that the victim that they are hunting for does not live at this address or have this phone number! When we get of age to purchase this stuff or join a senior advocacy group, we are going to remember these two pieces of trash that harassed and terrorized this family. Both can go to H***!
You gave a reply to a post made more than 4 years ago, and it won't be read by that poster.
Received call from 1-(763)-274-3899 @ 12:18pm Monday, October 3rd 2016. Caller stated they were looking for (Incorrectly pronounced my name). Caller did not identify. I asked caller to identify, they gave no name merely stated they are with UHC. Caller asked if they were speaking to (incorrectly pronounced name) and wanted me to list any other medical insurance I may be using in conjunction with UHC. I informed caller that I don't know who it is that is calling me, and that if I did indeed happen to be a member of UHC, that I would most certainly know the status of my own insurance account and have no further information to supply to any dubious cold calls. I then terminated call. I have zero health concerns or recent activity on my insurance - there is zero reason to receive any calls from an insurance network.
United Health Care's shared number for representatives (probably working from home with VOIP).
This is the phone number that the Registered Nurse from United Healthcare calls me from. Her voice mail gives the number for the 24 hour Time Warner Cable Nurse Line. My husband works for Time Warner Cable and we have United Healthcare. I don't know if this number is just United Healthcare or if it is specific to Time Warner Cable employees that need to speak to a Registered Nurse. Either way if they call you it is not to harass you it is to help you with a medical condition you have been seen for recently or a billing issue. Also the same nurse will call every time so it is not multiple ladies calling saying their name is Judy, it is one person calling named Judi.
I tend to believe the call I got from 888-866-8295 is legit, but I still didn't give them any info. When I asked why they were calling me, they said they couldn't let me know until I gave them my date of birth. I refused and hung up.I have great respect for nurses and for the fact that these calls could possible help all of us (in this country) spend our health care dollars more effectively. But if they don't approach us in a proper manner, clearly identifying who they are and why they're calling, they shouldn't expect cooperation from us.
I just received a call from the same number in my cell phone and they did not leave a message. I usually answer my cell phone because I only give that number to people I do either know or they are on my cell phone caller ID. Well, since they wasn't on my cell phone caller ID I did not answer. They did not leave a message either. I call the number back and the number has a message that said....You have call a United Healthcare number that is no longer in service and then the call is lost. That's the way the phone answer when the United Healthcare employee is not log on to their phone to received your call. I received the call again and on my cell phone and this time I answer as I figured it has to be someone I know. I work for United Healthcare and call was actually from United Healthcare, someone at work was trying to reach me!! We have RN's and Service Coordinators at United Healthcare that call from this number either to do a member assesment or advise the member of service provider, benefits, etc. So please do not be so quick to judge the call as a scam. The RN's are doing their job and some times the member's move and change phone numbers and the Insurance is the last to know. You might be receiving a call from a member that change phone numbers and now you have their number. I believe that might explains why you're confuse since you do not have United Healthcare Insurance plan. Also the number will be indentify on your caler ID as United Healthcare. God Bless......
Ed, sometimes it depends on the person that makes the call or their experience. I am a United Healthcare employee and I always I dentify myself and all credentials prior to start taking to the member. This way they feel at ease that they are truly talking to a UHC employee. Once I am close to complete the call I ask the member are you still living at.....and I say their address at that time they say yes ma'am but by them they know who they are speaking to. No outsider will have the information we ask the member. We are instructed to verify demographics first but sometimes we find out is difficult for the member to trust the call right away. You can tell a scam call just by asking the right questions. If the person feel uneasy when received the call just hang up. If the call is from United Healthcare trust me we call back more than once until we reach that member.
Thank you Tanya for taking the time to identify this problem. I am a United Healthcare employee as well but it seems we need to have additional train on how to make this member's calls. It seems the members receiving the call are unease since the caller is not going through the proper protocol. I never had any problems when I call the members but then not everyone does the work the same.
'W. Beckett' I am a United Healthcare employee and that's the number for the member to call back to reach the caller. (UHC) It's either an RN or an UHC employee that needs to complete a member assesment. (1-800-349-0550) Do not ignored the call. If you choose not to answer or call back that's fine. You will receive a notice by mail that we UHC has been trying to reach you and that the same number will be in the letter to call back your RN. Thx~
