got a call today .cid said optum but caller said they were calling from blue shield of California.
Received a telephone call last night from someone claiming to work for UHC and they wanted to verify my wife's birth date to provide us with Health Wellness benefits. They had the month and year of her birth and were wanting the day. We suspected they were fraudulent as if they were UHC they should have her birth date already in their files. After hanging up, we called the telephone number back and it did not answer. It appears to be a land line unlisted in Minnesota. I did find someone else has reported this number in the same scam through Google.
Have been reciving calls from this number. I finally answered the phone and they claimed to be from Richardson Texas. The call was for someone with the same last name as ours. Even though it was not for someone I knew I acted as if I knew the person they were looking for. The woman at the other end claimed to be a registered nurse and was not able to discuss the case with me because of medical privacy act. I told her I would let the person know to call them back. When and if they call again I am planning on informing them that I have already reported them to United HealthCare.
These people are calling once a day. I understand, from my research, that they're calling for AARP UnitedHealthcare. I've asked them to take me off their mailing list, and now they're calling my residence. I let them know via Facebook, that I am continuing to get calls from them. This is REALLY annoying.
the call is from people who are from united health care. the reason that # shows up on your caller ID is cuz the call went through their main switch board.....
I don't have UnitedHealthcare. The only connection I have with them is the junk mail they send to my house. I've asked them to stop the mailings and the phone calls. So far, no response. When I get old enough to need AARP UnitedHealthcare, I will NOT be calling them for coverage, that's for sure. The Caller ID is OPTUM. Doesn't even sound like UnitedHealthcare. Grrr...

Received 2 calls/voicemails on 10/22/25 from different people at this number claiming to be with Fortitude Assistance and Fortitude Systems re: possible jobs in IT departments. Sounds questionable. I'm not in that industry so makes no sense.
Daily calls, no messages
This number had my name, address, and the amount of money I owed for a medical procedure (but had already paid) and said they were calling to collect it before it went to court. I told her I'd do it online, and low and behold I have already paid it.

Suspected scam: voice sounded generated; said if notice hasn't been received by mail to call 844-604-2863.
Suspected scam. Voice sounded AI and mentioned a noncompliance notice. Stated if notice not received by mail to call this number.
This phone called yesterday at 11:34.
It started out saying it was a survey. I didn't' listen beyond that, other than to hit 9 to be removed from their call list, then I blocked thr number on my phone.

I was called about 7:50 pm. I hung up when he said my first name. My phone said this is potential scam. I believe that’s correct.
