These people are persistent for nothing. They keep hanging up without answering. I called the number back tonight, and they are collecting payment for Sallie Mae. I'm on deferred payment right now because I am currently enrolled in school, so I'm not sure why they keep calling me for payment. I don't have to pay them....that's the reason for the "deferred" status. How do I get them to stop calling?

I returned a call to this phone number and they are saying it is a student assistances company to help people with student loan assistance and programs. This was for my sister in law who listed me as a reference for her loan application. They were looking for her.

If you call this number there will be a snotty person that answers and says: "Either you have a student loan, or have been used as a reference for a student loan." By the way, they won't take your number out of their data base. I now have to have a voice mail on my cell phone that says "Calls for David R------s won't be returned.

Sallie Mae is a student loan company. So unless you owe them money for school or something you should go online get there # and staighten it all out. Because other wise they will keep calling.

Keep getting calls from this #, they got the wrong person but keep calling anyway. ID says Sally Mae when they call.
