I agree, they are most likely contracted through your primary insurance carrier to deliver your pharmaceuticals directly to your house. This does save you "out of pocket" expenses as you can obtain a three month supply for a one month supply co-pay. Every individual I have dealt with has been very professional.
Continue to receive calls from Medco (772-335-4498) promoting their mail-order pharmacy services, even though I have nicely asked them to stop phoning me. They don't listen. I had previously used their company for medical prescriptions but Medco made a major error processing a large order and refused to investigate it (let alone correct it) for over 3 months. During this time, they held my other medical prescriptions "hostage" and refused to ship them to me. I eventually found it necessary to obtain new prescriptions from my physicians and gave them to a local pharmacy. When Medco finally determined they had been at fault, they didn't call to apologize and discuss their findings with me...I received a letter. Why then would they expect me to talk to their sales people now?
Many companies are allowing their insurance carriers to utilize MEDCO as it is a cost savings for the business and the insurance carriers. I also own businesses and consult for other owners. This is from the insurance company that has contracted with the business who provides your employer based medical insurance. It is a cost savings, and if you are having difficulty with MEDCO it is due to not submitting the required information or the required prescription on a timely basis. People spend more time complaining and whining that it is everyone elses fault in lieu of taking personal ownership for their errors. Sad, we have raised a generation of people wanting everything easy and handed to them. I was raised to work for what you want and know that most issues are a result of a decision or lack of decision on my part. Grow Up people.
772-335-4498 is from Medco. Answered a call from 772-335-4498, no response, waited for 15 seconds, then heard "Richard from Medco." He asked me to verify my information with my birthdate or address. Gave him my address. We discussed about my prescriptions with my current Doctor. He moved my prescriptions from my local pharmacy to the Medco online system. I have been putting off mailing my RX to medco online, and now they are doing it for me by verifying my RX with my doctor. This is great. Will save big bucks. No more co-pays!

Got a call, picked it up, heard it ring back to them so I knew right away a computer called me. Then a second later they picked up and it was a woman who I could hardly understand. I said "I have no idea what you just said, put someone on that speaks english". She then said clearly "I'll have someone else call you back".I had no clue what this call was about since I didn't understand one word out of her mouth, but I do have United Healthcare, so I guess thats what it's regarding.
My cell phone is called but I don't answer the call. I do have MEDCO. Judging from the above comments, it's probaly them.
I constantly get these calls but if I choose to answer, no one is on the line and than it disconnects!
When I got to the office this a.m., I looked at the "Missed Calls" list that displays on my phone and I'd received a call from this number at 6:51 p.m. No message.
