got a call @ 5.45 today. answering the call resulted in me reverse calling them (strange, because i opened my phone, which only answers incoming calls). what picked up was an automated menu that asked for my "account information." i gave it all false info (strangest thing, it never asked for a name), it never had a problem with anything i gave, then it transferred me to a live operator whose intro was "my name is /blank/, thank you for calling." there was no mention of the company.so, seems to me they are a trying to get random personal info from people. the only reason you do that is for nefarious goals.
It's from Medco, and I order my inhalers and thyroid medicine from them. They are really cheap and you can order in bulk. I have health insurance and a prescription plan, but Medco is so much cheaper, everyone should check them out. Good holidays
My insurer uses medco for my prescription coverage benefits but my insurance is not from medco there just sub contracting out some work to medco. Most likely you have some prescriptions and they have an option to mail you your meds if you choose to or you can continue to go to your local pharmacy. .
I kept getting calls from the number and it would never leave a message. Finally, I answered out of pure boredom one day and let the guy know that I am a Financial Crimes Investigator with a large bank. Subsequently the call was dropped and I haven't been called since.
I've had several of these annoying calls. No one on the other end. How do we stop them?
Hello everyone! Under HIPAA Law, it is more difficult for you to get your own health information. However, anytime you give your list of medications to doctors', hospitals, health organizations, insurers, etc., it gives those organizations and their contractors and subcontractors access to your contact information, some of your health information, and provides them with permission to contact you. I do know that MEDCO handles mail-order prescription drugs for GEHA. At one time, they did the same for Blue Cross/Blue Shield. What else they do, I do not know. Blocking number features on individual phones are easily defeated, somehow. Local phone companies probably won't block any individual numbers, unless you sign up for a service, and then it might be on a bundled plan. you can find on this website many creative ways to handle unwanted calls. My favorites are ignoring unknown or unwanted numbers and special ringtones going to voicemail or something similar.
