i have gotten a call from this number 4 times. the first 2 times i hung up, the 3rd times i pressed 1 and and tried to play with them. they were calling about renewing my auto warranty. this 3rd time i said i had a '69 mustang. they hung up. they called me about 10 minutes ago for the 4th time in 3 months. i am on the DNC list... so i had to play them again. when i got through, i said i had a '94 buick, which was true- although i sold it for scrap about 2 weeks ago. i had them on the line for about 20 minutes asking questions about coverage, the "rep" had to keep "looking things up" to see if they were covered. i asked if they were from the dealership. he said yes and quickly changed the subject, so i asked again. he said (a resounding) YES and then asked if i wanted to pay in full $2500. or make a down payment of $550, $450 or $350. i told him i don't finance anything and would pay in full. he had to transfer me to a "specialist". when i got this joker, i made him go through everything again. when he said that he could give me a discount for paying the full amount i argued with him that is wasn't low enough. he came back with a lower number and i told him that i didn't know and that i thought that maybe i would make just the min. down payment. he got all confused and and said i was wasting his time ( i was) and i thought that i had lost him. he asked how i wanted to pay and i said either cash or check. he said, "check card?" i told him sure. at this point he hadn't even gotten my name. i asked him if he wanted my name and social. he was like "YEAH!" so i gave him Todd Davis'(from life lock) name and soc #. then i asked "what company are you from again?" and he hung up. Total time with them 37minutes. THE BOTTOM LINE: KEEP THESE JOKERS ON THE LINE. it costs them money to make calls to you. money for the airtime, staff, local etc. and it keeps someone tied up with you messing with them and not preying on some one else who doesn't know THIS IS A SCAM!
Seemed to be a telemarketer because they said they had me on a list of people who wanted to extend their car warranty. Refused to give me the company name when I said I was filing a complaint with the Do Not Call Registry. Got nervous as soon as I asked their company name and then hung up on me.I wouldn't be surprised if this is fraud because I do not drive a car, haven't for over a decade and could not possibly be on such a list of people with car warranties. I reported this call to the Do Not Call registry and filed a complain because I am on the Do Not Call registry. My suspicion is they are fraud.
I just got a call from this number 2 min ago as well! First it is an automated message saying that my auto warranty is expiring and they attempted contacting me several times, and then give option to talk to someone or hung up. I got a live person on the line and he proceed to ask my car info, I asked him which company he is calling from, he just hung up on me.
I get calls from this number and other numbers from with the same message from Heather about lowering our interest rates. I have talked in person about getting on the "do not call list" and I have requested it by pressing 2 to no availd. I get this on both my home number and my in-home business line. It drives me crazy. I am going to contact the BBB to see if they can help.
Got a call from 772-664-4005, but my VOIP call log said it was 011-772-664-4005, so they must be hiding behind some PBX type setup to list a false number. It was to lower credit card rates. They have called a lot lately, and I finally pressed 1 to talk to an operator. When I told them to take me off the list, they hung up.
they have just called my house phone so i answered and it took them forever to hang up. this is not the first time it has happened and it is ridiculously annoying.
I keep getting scam calls from 1-772-664-4005. I guess a lot of people are. How can it be stopped?
