Called just after dinner.I asked for a company name, the "customer service rep " said Alta Protection Center (or maybe Alpha). They were calling about extending the insurance on my car. I repeatedly asked for a company contact phone number and the rep kept repeating the "pitch". I told her that I didn't want to be called and asked to speak to a supervisor at which point she hung up on me.

Thanks for the heads up - just called here but hung up before I got to the phone. I'll be ready next time!

I got the 8th phone call today. So I pressed 1 to ask to be removed from the call list. I asked to speak with a supervisor or manager of the call center, and was transferred to Michael. He told me that he would only remove my name if I sang “Marry had a Little Lamb”, and if I didn’t he would make sure I received a call daily until I gave in and sing the song. I call called the Florida Consumer Services Division and they could not help me. I filed a complaint with the FTC. I spoke to the Florida Attorney General’s office and all they could do was add it to all the other complaints they have received regarding this phone number. No one has the name Account Services in there records as a legal telemarketing company. The Consumer Services Division of Fl only requires the main holding company to register one phone number. They may have 20 phone numbers they are using , but they only have to register one. Do you have a physical address for Heather’s employer? I want to send a cease and desists letter to them.

Called the number back. Was told this number was no longer in service. Had another number do this to us but it originated from Florida. I do not have any idea how to get this stopped.

Well, I got this group of low-lifers to stop calling me for a couple of weeks and now they're back at it again! I am so sick of them calling! They're probably doing drugs while they bust their a$$e$ harrassing people and still making no money. I bet they get a kick out of hearing alot of people scream at them or call them filthy names...and AT&T doesn't help any either. All they want is to sell me privacy manager or call blocker. I'm telling you, if it's not one scammer wanting to steal my identity it's another trying to sell me crap I don't need! Only in America!

They called me today at 7pm. I asked for their name and they hung up.
