telemarketing ie. Scotia Bank Visa - just want to increase your credit limit , just more credit to suck interest out of ya and make you a slave to your creditors ie. If your not paying it off every month, they arn't doing you any favours.............

this is for sure fraud. My phone said they were calling from the US. Scotiabank is Canadian, is it not??

I keep getting calls as well from that number i will not answer it and if it is a visa rep wanting to increase my card no way i am on the budget i can afford with the ones i got.

I received a call this morning from a woman with a heavy accent saying she was a Scotiabank rep and offering me an increase on my Visa card limit. Then she wanted to know which accounts I have, which I decided was TMI so I told her I'd speak to my own bank in person. We have been so heavily warned about bank scams, I am surprised any bank uses this method. I phoned a 800 number to ask Scotiabank if they do it and the answer was yes.

I got a call from this number last night. When I seen the number pop up on call display I thought hmm I'm going to have some fun here. So I picked up the phone and talked like a sweet elderly lady to him and then told him you have the wrong number. And he said sorry for calling. LOL He really thought I was a lady., I can imagine what his thoughts were after he hung up.

I receive 3-5 calls per week from 1800notes. They use a different telephone number each time. I add each number to my Call Rejection List.

Damn scotiabank telemarketing. Calls at around the same time every single day. Is this how my money at scotiabank being spent? On funding telemarketers? Everyone should just boycott this bank. Its products suck anyways. This is just making me hate them even more.

I just don't answer calls from strange or call-blocked numbers. It just makes good sense in this day and age. This number has been calling me 2-3 times per week all year long, but i just dont pick up. if they don't leave a message for me to screen, then they will never, ever get in touch with me.Until cellphone companies come up with phones that you have no choice but to answer, these folk can kiss my [***]!
