That is an actual phone number. its for the sales team for Scotia. it checks out. I called into the ACTUAL customer service and requested no more calls, they determined if i wanted both OFFERS and CUSTOMER SUPPORT calls cancelled. IT IS LEGIT, but its G0D D4MN ANNOYING.no calls additional calls have been received pitching "new programs".

Completely fraudulent. I phoned the official number from the back of my card after this number phoned me. They told me that if they do have to phone you, you can ask to phone them back. They will leave a note on your account stating that they did try to get a hold of you and that you were going to phone them back. DO NOT give them your information, and do NOT call the number back. They have a recording that sounds like the official but it ISN'T THEM.

Called me twice so far, I did not answer, they did not leave any voice mail.If they're Scotia Bank Telemarketers as everybody is saying here, I suspect they probably got my number from me signing up for a Scene movie card since Scotia Bank is connected to the Scene cards. I've had no dealings with Scotia Bank ever before getting the Scene card, and after getting the card Scotia Bank sends me emails, snail mail, and such trying to get me to get credit cards and such.

this blasted number has been calling me nearly every weekday, at all different hours of the day, for the past 4 weeks. so i finally gave in to my curiosity and answered them- just like everyones been saying, it was scotiabank trying to get me to increase my credit limit on my visa card. the lady was also asking me for info about my accounts and visa number.so i think everyone can agree that the caller is scotiabank, but the real question is- is it legit? or is it just some pieces-o-trash posing as the bank, trying to get your financial info?WELL. *sigh*. considering the fact that i dont have- nor have i ever had- any accounts, credit cards, or affiliation with scotiabank whatsoever, im gonna haveta go ahead and say that this number is NOT actually scotiabank, but rather a bunch of d-bags trying to screw you over. idiots. who still uses phone scams these days.

I don't think they are Scotia Bank. I called the number back and asked for my number to be blocked and they asked for my account number. They answered like Scotia Bank - but I think if they have my phone number - they can find out my account and block my call - we are in the computer age are we not?? seems suspicious to me. Blocked the number on my phone. I sugggest that you do the same.
