I don't have AT&T for land line or mobile. They called on my mobile - which is with T-Mobile. Left no message. I guess even AT&T ignores the Do Not Call List. Of course, everyone ignores the List.

Caller ID identified the caller as AT&T. There was nothing but silence when I picked up.—AT&T provides no service to this area.

AT&T owns SBC, Cingular and DishTV

Not always harmless...Collection Companies and even credit card collections such as Citi, Chase,etc. will use a "Spoof" service like www.spoofcard.com to display this or any number, other that their's. The number is in fact AT&T's and that is just who they want you to think is calling so you will answer. If you are being harrased due to late payments be carful as the collection departments have gotton creative!

Called my mobile number a few minutes ago and started with the classic AT&T music then the robot voice said they were calling about an account cancellation or something like that. I have not had AT&T in over a decade. It gave me some numbers to pick from and I just left it alone for several seconds and it disconnected. I say this is a total scam disguised in what was once a legit AT&T number.

800-288-2020 "Toll Free Call" - An AT&T robot advised that my landline repair was complete. "Call 800-515-7272 or go att.com/repair for further info". 866-431-1052 "Toll Free Call" was a different robot, asking me to rate the customer service rep who took the order (Not the repair guy who did the work).

I recently had a charge on my credit card:Bill Payment 800-288-2020 No mention of AT&T, but I was able to confirm the charge thanks to this thread. You would think they could put AT&T!!!!

I think this number was spoofed on my phone. A recording said it was AT&T and my account had been suspended. I could touch one or two. I hung up and called 611 from my phone. They determined nothing was wrong with my account.

ATT is my cell phone company and I am fully satisfied with my service. There should be no reason for them to call me. The phone numbers on my bill do not show this number. They did not leave a message. I think it might be a SPOOF & SCAM.

The call said that " someone's attempting to change my email associate with the phone number listing on my AT&T account.Please call to 800-Att-2020 to verify the account.
