they called me at a number that i have not listed at any bank. i answered the call and got an automated message telling me to hold. i hung up. no fraudulent charges on my accounts.why only call? why not mail? why not notify the bank to notify you? why use the same damn name for the automated call? if they work with banks, that would mean they earn a lot of money and can afford better PR. i also like the fact that there is only one webpage that refers to STAR.com, which is STAR.com. PHISHY!
I think this is legit. I got a phone call from a nice lady who said she was calling from IFUSA *my cc company*. She didn't ask me for my card number or anything, just asked me about some suspicious charges on my card. Out of 4 charges, I had only made two. So she reported my card as lost and stolen and I will be getting a new card in about a week.
I've received several calls from 800-327-8622 including today. It's consumer protection regarding credit or debit card charges. I googled em today because I had forgotten which number it was. I called them back, provided my name ONLY. Then verified a few recent charges including the one from an overseas order I placed (which promped the alert in the first place). All I can tell you is their legit. They don't ask for enough info to rip you off. No passwords/credit card numbers/thee digit sec codes, nothing like that. If you make an "out of ordinary" type of charge it sends up a red flag and they call you. I went through the basic, "I don't trust you guys" till I called my bank and they confirmed them.
Hey failure we already have all your personal infonameaddresszipcard numberGo outside, get some friends/hobbies.
You dont realize that just cause you get a brand new cheap prepaid cell number, it has already been used in the past and was never updated on the records. Thanks for failing at life tho, maybe next time you will win...
I do not have a bank account or a debit card, yet I have recieved a call from this company twice today. If this company is legitimate why would they have someone posting here on their behalf with the grammer of a 4 year old?
I have also been getting calls from this place. They are, in fact, a legitimate company. However, you would be hard-pressed to try and find even a little professionalism if you were to judge the company solely from the replies that they have left here. The spelling and grammar they use here are atrocious! This is a good example of the dumbing of America - We have 9th graders running call centers and to make matters worse, some of these mental midgets have access to our personal information! Is it in you to be a professional? If you can't reply to a message here in a civilized manner why, then, don't you make your life better by quitting your job and seeking employment that doesn't make you quite as short-tempered?
If you receive a message from Transaction Review Department, call them back. They only want your name and phone number..and then they will tell you the last 4-5 transactions made on your credit card to have you verify that they are indeed correct transactions. This is LEGIT.
