Thanks everybody for sharing. You confirm my suspicions.

I got 3 phone calls within a hour from a guy saying he was from Dish and that he needed a credit card to get $199.00 to pay for a upgrade or my service ( which i didnt have) or it would be disconnected and some one would be out to collect my box!, I havent had dish in over 1 year!!!!! He was so persistent and demanding that I had dish, I had to threaten his life to stop calling me!!! I called Dish to confirm my account was closed. They said they are still out there! DONT GIVE THEM ANY INFO OR CREDIT CARDS

just got a call from this number saying my dish boxes needed upgrading due to satellite position changes. long story short he ended up asking for a physical address, a pin number, and the last 4 of my SS. all of this to bring up my new file.... scam

Because I was expecting a call from UPS so they could lie to me again about losing a shipment, I answered this call. What I got was about 8 seconds of dead air. I hung up. Now I'm here, telling all of you. This is my life now.

Got a call from this number at 8:30 Sunday morning from a person with a heavy Indian accent (could hear other voices in the background) saying he was from Dish Network (I am a Dish customer) advising they were having to change the position of a satellite and needed some information from my set box. Although the number is the Dish service number, no one from that company would ever make a call asking your to give them info from your set box - they already know it!! I hung up, after seriously considering to suggest he might want to take a trip to a very hot place.....

I have received phone calls from this number and they don't leave messages. When I returned the call, it was DISH.

5:50 AM? Seriously? I thought that there was some sort of prohibition on calling this early (PST). Thanks everyone for letting me know who this was as I didn't pick up! And I'm not a Dish customer!

I will be sending DISH Network a small package of value in the mail shortly.

call came at 8:45 am today - a Saturday. I do not have a Dish so it was not tempting to answer. I stopped the call on my landline. Really irritating to get these calls!!

Got a call from this number today. They have called earlier too using different numbers. They say they are from Dish but the call is from India (I know their accent). Do not just hang up on them - give it back to them, scream and shout at them. Tell them you know they are scammers.
