Collectors make BILLIONS of dollars a year from people who are just trying to exist, many of whom have health problems and are scraping and scrambling to survive. Scr(&^ them. Don't answer their calls, change your number if you have to. DO NOT speak to them on the phone at all.Moving to Costa Rica is a great option too and it's fabulous here! These people calling you barely have a high school education and make $8 an hour. Enjoy your $8 an hour job while I enjoy the sun, far away from you living in Costa Rica. Peace at last and NO MORE calls.

What an underhanded, sleazy company - one of many complaints I read. Do NOT deal with them.ComplaintThis company will not remove the negative "collection" from my credit report once obligation has been met.We have decided to refinance our home. After meeting with the loan officer, we were told to take care of this debt, but it was imperative that once the debt had been paid, that it needed to be DELETED from the account, not PAID IN FULL. We contacted Credit Adjustment Inc on Thursday, February 26 at 4:17pm. The duration of the call lasted 11 min and 46 sec. I spoke with a male representative. I did not get his name. He told me that it was against Federal Law for them to delete the account from my credit report. They would mark it paid in full. I called again on Monday, March 2 at 2:31pm. This call lasted 7 min and 2 sec. I spoke with ***** *****. I told him that I needed to have my account deleted from my credit report once it had been paid in full. He told me that he did not believe they could do that but would speak with his supervisor. He came back on the phone and told me that his supervisor did in fact say that they could not DELETE the account but would mark it paid in full once it had been done.Desired SettlementI would like to have the account DELETED from my credit report so that I may refinance my home.Business ResponseThe Fair Credit Reporting Act was created to insure that Credit Reporting is done honestly and accurately. Credit Adjustments Inc is a reporting agency and as such has an obligation to abide by the FCRA and it's laws, which requires us to report when a debt is paid in full as "paid in full". In this case the FCRA is clear and we cannot delete the account from the consumers credit report.Consumer Response(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)It may be your policy to not delete an account after it has been paid in full, but after contacting the 3 major credit reporting agencies, it is NOT ILLEGAL for you to do so. It is wrong for you to tell consumers that it is illegal for you to do this. You are the only one who can do this. When a financing company tells a consumer that they will assist a consumer acquire financing once a particular account is paid and deleted from their account, and creditor refuses to delete that account, it makes it impossible to move forward in life. When the creditor has the right and authority to delete this account and says it is illegal to do simply so they won't have to, it is WRONG. Most people don't simply just not pay their bills. They get into a situation (overwhelming medical bills). When the comes time for them to be able to make things right, you as the creditor make it impossible for them to move on with their life. What you are doing is wrong, unethical, and unfair.

Collection agencies, when they do leave a message, are most likely not giving you their real name. If you receive a message from **Jane Doe** (NAME USED FOR EXAMPLE PURPOSES ONLY), when you return the call and ask to speak to "Jane" they will already know what type of bill they are contacting you about, if this is going to be an easy or difficult call, if they have called you once or 100 times before you returned their call, etc.T

If you even answer the phone they know they have a live number, and even if you're not the person they are looking for, they will NEVER stop calling, even if you threaten the,Just do not answer. You don't need the stress nor hassle. People who harass others and upset them are bottom feeders.

If they call you at your work they are not legally allowed to do that. They also are lying when they say they need to "verify employment" for anyone. Just do not answer people and block the numbers they call from!Worst thing you can do is even talk to them, once they get a live person they will keep calling forever - even if it's not your debt.

I answered this one out of curiosity as I usually don't answer calls from numbers I don't know. Another annoying robocall. This time claiming to be calling from Medicare. Would give it zero stars if I could.
Because I didn't know who the caller was, I sent it to voicemail. The caller did not leave a message and hung up. I assumed it was another robo call and when I checked this site my assumption was confirmed.
