Call says they want to lower my credit card rate. I was feeling a little frisky so I pressed "1" to be connected to a person. "I understand you would like to lower your credit card rate on your VISA and MasterCard". I asked which ones they were inquiring about. "All of them". I asked "Well the automated message mentioned a credit card so I want to know which one you're asking me about".And then silence........I was bummed, I really wanted to play with this poor sot.
This number 800-423-4343 called about credit cards, asked for the expiration date on it, the card number, the type. This number has no clue how not to seem like a scam, lol. except they claimed to be at& t, but i don't use credit cards nor at& t. i hung up and the guy called me back. just to see if i could call them i dialed them and yeah :D todays my day off and i have scammers to bother until they block me or something.
This is a SCAM. The caller said he was calling from Card Services to lower my interest rate. He indicated his name was John Fernandez. As he started reading through his script, it was clear he was not Latino and it was clear he had a strong mid-eastern accent. I then asked if he was sure his name was John Fernandez and where he was calling from. I then said you MF'er and hung up.When I attempted to call back, I actually reached CIti Card services who did not have any idea what had happened. DO NOT PROVIDE ANY OF YOUR INFORMATION to them on these calls.
