I do not even have direct tv and am assuming it was from them because it is their number, anyway caller just said hello 3 x and never stated they were from direct tv or anything other than hello, that was all that was left on my answering service. A lot of chatter in the background
Actually, since Direct TV was bought by ATT, this number was used by ATT to call me about my existing ATT U-Verse service.
Called informing me that I was a DirecTV customer and as the area was having a lot of complaints about rain, wind, and bad weather they were checking to see if I was experiencing these issues. I politely said no. Then "HE" (thick Indian accent) asked me if I was having trouble with my remote, to which I informed him nope, because I was NOT A CUSTOMER and informed him he was being dishonest with me, and then I quietly hung the phone up. NOW, aren't you all proud of me? I handled that with a level head. "THEY" (the scammers) really think we are that dense? I know we had storms last night, so I'm sure they are bright enough to check the weather for us before calling, but really? Why not check if we even have the service before calling and making themselves look even more stupid and totally ignorant.
Don't have direct t. V. Never had, never will.... Don't know why they are calling me... And then when I answered there was no one there, just hung up... Rude much?
Got a call at 9:20 Pm today. Male (very broken english) sounded hispanic said he was from direct TV. I told him I did not have Direct TV that I had Time Warner Cable and he asked me if I was sure! Background sounded like dozens of other male voices, possibly other callers. I asked him where he was calling from because it was 9:30 PM and he just said calling from Direct TV, gave no location. I the hung up
They call routinely, even thou I blocked this number months ago. If I want something from Direct, I will call them.
