they just called me for the 4 th time today and they got my name right then they hung up i call back its directory assistance so what the hell can we do about this problem i have read all of the above and it seems like we all have a problem with this any phone experts out there reading this give us an ear full please thank you.

Better business Bureau can/will do nothing. F.c.c can/will do nothing. Phone provider can/will do nothing. It does not adversely affect them so they allow this to continue even after more than 100000 complaints from consumers. There is nothing you can do except toy with the fools and gave a little fun I use them as my Relief valve.

"A T & T 800-555-1212""joey" is the nickname my family used to call me. I don't use it myself but the caller accidentally called me that which alerted me!! This number has called a few times in recent days. Thought I'd answer since it is or used to be directory assistance / information "555-1212" or . When i answered a man in a pseudo-British accent, sounded like Afro-Jamaican. When I insisted on who was it, he said some marketing company, and blah-blah prizes INCLUDING a $40 gift card (alarms went off in my head) . I said this is suspicious, he then went on to say he needed to to be sure I was at least "18" some give him my birthdate! I said "NO" and hung up. My caller ID said it was "A T & T" I guess those extra spaces is the hitch! BEWARE! this has SCAM HAS ALL OVER IT!!!!!!!!!PS: Why isn't AT&T all over this! Are they getting a kickback on the usage fees!

So far, my Sentry Call Blocker is doing its job.Just added 1-800-555-1212 to the LONG list of blocked numbers. Face it folks. Until spoofers are severely punished, the calls are never going to stop.

I have received calls all day from this number. It is extremely annoying. They do not leave a name only an address which is www.bellpromotion.com to contact. I have no interest in this and want it to stop. Is this a scam?

I get calls like this all the time such as:1-435-846-9869 (no answer)1-262-209-1204 (Credit card services from operator "Rachel")1-800-555-1212 ( I did not answer)Receive numerous calls for out of area with different messages. One that comes to mind is someone telling me my computer window need attention. When I ask if they are from Microsoft they say "Yes" when I tell them that Mircosoft never makes calls like this or I tell them "how can you make my computer better when I don't even have a computer" They hang up.......

They call all the time. I do not answer unknown callers. So I don't know the reason for their call.

Calling my cellphone every 18 minutes. 5 calls in 72 minutes.
