Received a phone call from this number and I did not answer thinking it was just more solicitors but it ended up being Red Cross to remind me about my appointment tomorrow. I have no problem with that but I should've never given them my cell phone number. I will have to try and change that tomorrow when I go give blood.

Keep getting calls from this number

I have told Red Cross to take me off of their calling list. I have not donated in years. Our local chapter has removed my number, but I keep getting calls with AMER RED CROSS as caller ID. I answered once and asked them where I could donate blood and the caller supposedly checked their database and told me that they did not have any local blood drives in my area any time soon. HOWEVER, the American Red Cross had a blood drive in my town, that was definitely Red Cross, just a few blocks from me, the next day, which is why I asked them--to see if they were really Red Cross. They wanted me to donate money. If you want to give money to Red Cross, I recommend that you do not give information to a phone solicitor. Find your local Red Cross and make sure your money is actually going to Red Cross and not some phone scammer.

Whenever Red Cross called me to remind me or a family member of an appointment to give blood, it was always the local number of a volunteer in our area. It was not an 800-number that called to remind me of appointments.

If it's the real Red Cross, why does their call ID say "Toll Free Caller" like the typical phone scammers?

ARC Calling me all freakin day. It is very bothersome. Ive told them Im working and cannot donate on the days they keep calling about but today alone ive recieved four calls every couple of hours. Makes me not want to give ever again.

If you're a rare blood type get used to any repeated calls for donations.

how does one get their name removed from this list - no one in my household has donated blood ever .. so i am not sure how they got my number ... and further more have no idea how to remove it from their list

I been getting calls from American Red Cross for years. In the beginning I told them I was not going to give at this time. They kept calling and sometimes multiple times per day. Then it just got annoying so I asked them to take me off their list. They kept saying they would. They kept calling me. Then I told them if you call one more time I will NEVER donate blood to them again. They apologized and said they will have my name removed. I blocked numerous number from them but they keep changing their call from number. Caller ID is showing them as American Red Cross - Main.
