Red Cross calling to remind me of a blood donation appointment I had the next day.

I think they mean on the 55th day its theor last day to not be eligable on the 56th you can. I have before.

Being O- i didnt even know until the lady called and tryed to call me 5-9 times a week. Omg i finally answered and they stopped calling once i made an appointment. So if youre not eligable just answer and make an appointment. Itll be all set for when you are and you wont deal with incessive calling lol

They arent for profit. They sell the blood so that they get money to help in other ways.... plus if they just gave blood to people there would probably be an uneven disribution of blood.

They called again -- for the umpteenth time! -- this morning at 9:21 a.m. I have blocked the number. It's a real shame that the American Red Cross, an organization with such a worthy cause, has called so much until it has become a nuisance.

It is a company the Red Cross uses to solicit. It is not the Actual Red Cross calling. I know because I have a rare type of blood. I had an appointment to donate, but contracted Strep Throat and could not make the appointment. The woman I called to let know that I would not be coming in was EXTREMELY rude and tried to lay a guilt trip on me because I wasn't coming in. When I got better I went to the local Red Cross office to speak with them about the way I was treated and they were very apologetic and told me it was a service they used. Their "service" is giving them a bad name:(.

I know the Red Cross needs blood. But they call you a week after you gave blood. Then every day after. They need to start calling teenagers and let them learn how to give. Just my opinion.

Don't call I know when and where I want to give blood. Your calls are annoying.

The director of the red cross gets almost $750,000 a year plus benefits from selling your blood to people who could die without it. My health does not allow blood donations but they still call and want more blood and money. I donate to the Salvation Army - a true charity that actually helps people.

Next time you give blood tell them your phone number changed and it needs to be updated.....your area code and 555-1212
