California DMV. I had called and the wait was over an hour. You can give a call back number and keep your place in line. It was DMV calling me back almost exactly to the minute of the time they said the wait time was when I called. Since I work in customer service where we have the same kind of phone system, I thought it worked pretty efficiently. Under call type, they don't have an option for call from company I do business with/requested call back.
Dmv message reminding me of an appointment I do not have in Sacramento. Really? I live in Palm Springs. Sounds like they need to update their message system. It appears to be calling random numbers.
This has to he some kind of a scam. An automatic message from the CA DMV about upcoming appointment. Don't think so! In San Diego?I live 200 miles from San Diego. There is something terribly wrong here and what is it? Can someone tell me?
I'm guessing it's the DMV (from other comments and because I have an appointment with them coming up) but they just left me two empty voice messages, ~1min long.
Thanks for the update everyone. We do have an upcoming appointment with the DMV next week. It is unfortunately, the phone number came up, however the name CA DMV does not come up on the caller ID. I would have answered the call and they would have goth their verification that the call was received (since I had legitimate business scheduled with the DMV). The government should be aware that people no longer pick up unidentified calls, so if they expect a response, they should identify themselves when calling.
