Got a voice mail starting with "you have an upcoming appointment with our field office march 17th," with no reference to the DMV, but I have no such appt.

This is still the reminder number for an appointment at the CA DMV. I have an appt on Friday.

I applied online through my credit union to open a savings certificate for my friend's newborn baby and received an error message from World Financial. The message said there was a problem processing my request and to call customer service at this number. When I called the number (twice), I received a pre-recorded message saying, "Hey sexy guy, what a great way to talk one-on-one with hot women across America..." Fabulous. I hope my banking information hasn't been compromised.

This is a robocall reminding of a DMV appointment at the Southwest office in Bakersfield. There is a problem with the recording, which starts near the end of the message, and then instructs you to press "star" to repeat the message. When I pressed "star" the call disconnected.

Appointment reminder from the California DMV

i received a call but no message, shoudn't they leave a voicemail, if the purpose is to remind you of an appointment?

11:01 am received call with caller ID TOLL FREE CALLE. When I answered (not knowing who it would be) it was an automated call reminder of our upcoming appointment at our local DMV next Tuesday. It said you could press 5 if you wanted to cancel the appointment. We really do have an appointment at the DMV next Tuesday but I think they should change their caller ID to DMV instead of TOLL FREE CALLE. Hope this helps someone. D

Received a message for the Fontana DMV for a license renewal but I didn't make an appointment and don't need a license renewal.

This is the CA DMV. I got a call reminding me of my appointment for the following week. Actually a very useful tool.
