It is a scam!! I have received a phone call earlier but it was suspicious so I call the number on back of the credit card and noticed that no one called from the credit card company. Be careful!!

After getting a message from this number, I called the number on my card. The guy I spoke to couldn't find any record of this being a number used by Chase. Nor was there any record that Chase had called me, and he said my file would have had a note that such a call had been made. Finally, he said Chase calls regarding suspected fraudulent activity are always a recording, and if my caller was a human (it was), that's yet another sign that it was a scam.

It comes up unknown due to the fact that the reps making outbound calls do not have an extension to call back on.. They dont take inbound calls they only call out. Wow someone called you from a unknown number. All you do is call the number on the back of your credit card and find out what is going on. If you dont have a account with chase, that meaning someone is probably opening up accounts under your name. The number is not a scam at all.

Basically she is right. It is chases card, they just allow you to borrow money from them.

Person called and said my AARP Visa card had unautorized use on it.

It is because that erin person left it as a contact #? How are they going to know who is calling if they dont have a credit card #. Come on do you think they can read minds

Claimed to be calling about fraud prevention on a Chase credit card. Wanted me to confirm my information (account number, address, etc.) I asked them to read me the information they had on file for me and I would confirm whether it was correct or not. They said they were not allowed to do this, and that I had to give them my account number, address etc. I didn't.

If Chase listed this number on their main directory page, they would be getting a call from every Tom,Dick and Harry who think they have fraud on their acct, including the ones who don't know fraud from a dispute. That is the call back number given to customers who have what appears to be fraud on their accounts.

Exact same thing happenned to me. I called a friend who works for Chase and she did not notice any fraudelent information. I recommend not giving any info and do the smart thing and contact the number listed on your card, bank, etc. tied with the supposed fraud!
