I just returned a call to this number which on my caller ID said it was EBAY INC. The woman on the receiving end said no this is NOT eBay???
That is patently untrue. As an eBay seller, I get regular calls from eBay regarding policy changes and maximizing my sales. eBay DOES call you when there isn't a problem. But they need to show up on the caller ID as eBay, in my opinion.
Better reread your seller agreement. You DID give them permission to call, at the same time they gave you permission to use their site.
Try to keep it honest, huh? Yes, eBay fees are high, and sometimes minor errors are made, but you are lying. There is NO WAY you paid $4.20 in fees, even by combining eBay and PayPal fees, on a 99 cent listing.
This "is a valid Ebay Phone number
As everyone else has said, you're lying. You may have Done Your Homework, but that doesn't mean you got an "A." Clearly you failed to check your work like you claimed.
There's no way I will believe this is a legitimate eBay number. Sure, I started receiving calls as an eBay iPhone sale was processing, but after two calls (which I did not answer, as I didn't recognize the number), they finally left a message. The message was automated (with a digital voice), saying that my Mastercard was locked for security reasons, press "1" to unlock.Yup, that sure sounds like a scam to me!!!!!
They also said the guy left a message. Reading comprehension is usually a better skill to employ than "GOTCHA!" paranoia.
I got another call, from the same number, this time with a recording reminding me of how to expedite future eBay sales. It sounded very legit, and included tips that are listed on the eBay website, and didn't ask me to do something stupid. Rather, the message directed me to the eBay website: ebay.com/shippingWeird.It's also possible that this message is supposed to make me feel better about answering future calls from this number, where I might fall prey to a scam.Is it possible to spoof a phone number on Caller ID??? All calls indicate the same:(801)545-1800 Midvale, UT
I am a power seller with a store, and get a couple of calls a month from this #. It's eBay.

This number calls me twice a month, like clockwork, and disconnects after about two rings. This sounds like some robocall scam.

Saying postal redelivery unit when called. What?
I didn't accept the call and they did not leave any voice message
I answered this one out of curiosity as I usually don't answer calls from numbers I don't know. Another annoying robocall. This time claiming to be calling from Medicare.
Would give it zero stars if I could.
Because I didn't know who the caller was, I sent it to voicemail. The caller did not leave a message and hung up. I assumed it was another robo call and when I checked this site my assumption was confirmed.
said dish was updating receivers and needed for us to turn on dish for 2 minutes to do updates. told them to call back tomorrow.
