I am a powerseller on ebay but since I have had "NO PHONE CALLS" stated in my ebay preferences for years I don't know why they would call me. Just listened to the message and it is obviously from a call center in INDIA. Wanted to tell me about changes to the giving works program and a workshop that is coming up. I'm sure it's legit. Don't know why they call when I have asked not to be called.

Got a call from this number on my cell phone. Didn't answer it cuz' I don't answer calls from people I don't already have in my address book, I let them go to voice mail. They did not leave a message. So I decide to look them up online and found this. Thanks all for the heads up if they call again.

If you answer the phone, you will see that it's legit. They call me a couple times a month. Just to fill you in on upcoming special and changes. No big deal.

This is not Fraud. I just talked with Tina. All she wanted to do was to give me some tips on how to save some money by using Ebay's lables and how that would get my funds in PayPal released quicker.She did not ask me for anything and had all the information that she should have had on hand.NOT fraud. At least my call wasn't. YMMV

eBay. If you call back you get a voicemail from Ebay which tells you what type of call and advises that any correspondence that requires action by you will be sent to your messages in your eBay account.

I received a call from this number today, saying they were from eBay and if I would listen as to how to become a better seller. They already had my legal name and email. I said I wasnt interested. I then called eBay to find out about this phone number. They said 'they had no record of this number' and would report it to Trust & Safety.

I received a call ferom this number today as well and have been nowhere near EBay for many years, so no reason for them to be calling me......takes all kinds!!

I did not answer the call, however they did leave a message, and it was ebay. I called ebay and asked about the phone call, it is one of their numbers and the call was legitimate. I have been selling with ebay since '01 and do get calls periodically, they are usually to let you know about new changes - I have never had them ask for personal info, etc. Just curtousy type calls. Not a fraud - definately legit - call or email ebay!! :-)

On the phone on hold for 20 minutes with ebay and the 801 # just beeped.Makes sense that its ligit. I suspect it is an attempt to confirm my security or to provide me with automated information about my matter because I am starting to think that nobody is going to pick up :( ebay fails again.

I got this call and it said you have a call from: _______ but no name was ever said. Then it said to accept this call press 1 or to send to voicemail press 2. I hung up.YES eBay does call sellers to give them some updates/advice on improving sales.But since this call came directly to my cell phone (eBay has always called my eBay office number which is forwarded to my cell - the number from my eBay office always shows up first but did not this time). So I found it strange - red flag #1, the when there was nothing but silence when it said the call was from that was red flag #2, then when it said to press 1 to accept or 2 to send to voicemail, again very strange, that was red flag #3 so I hung up.
