This is a legitimate call from eBay. They called me to tell me about updates to the Giving Works program and to remind me of some upcoming workshops. They did not ask for any information.
people - let me assure you. ANY business can have ANY number sent out as caller ID. It is all in what is programmed in their phone system or in their service provider network. Just because a number shows up on your caller ID, that doesn't necessarily mean with 100% certainty that THAT is truly the number that is being called from.
This phone number is from eBay. I'm a power seller and get updates from them on new features, policy changes and promotions from this number. I don't anwser when they call, but they always leave a voice message with their updates and a phone to call them if I have any questions. If your a regular seller on eBay, you will get occasional calls from them so don't freak out.

Called the number back, recorded message. Asks for no info. It is legit. You can opt out of the calls by logging into your account see directions in Ralph's Dec. 4th post
If this is a real Ebay call why can't they just send us and email or make a general announcement to avoid all this confusion? Seems pretty simple to clear up once and for all. Ebay should take the lead and clear it up now. I checked and they are hiring for the a call center in Utah for Ebay. Still it seemed a bit creepy. They didn't provide any real useful information that I didn't already know. They took my feedback on the printing shipping labels through Ebay at a discount but then getting charged final value percentage on it so in effect they take back the discount. I'm sure they must have heard something like that a million times but girl acted like it's the first time they ever heard of it.

just got a call from 888-431-7820. Told me I was breach of contract. Very hard to understand the lady. I dont have a contract with anyone that I know of. When I look to see the number call it tells me Claim Services.
