J'ai appuyé sur 8 l'option « Do NOT call list » pis, j'ai raccroché après avoir entendu qu'ils avaient raccroché. A+
I got a call from this number and pressed "8" instead of "9" and a voice recording said that my number has been successfully removed from the list.
they called on December third to announce that I won a trip to the Carribean and I just hanged up. The moral of this story is when something looks too great to be true, maybe it just is.
Oh, I pressed 9 to claim "what I won" then just layed the phone down off the hook and let them ramble on.I look at it this way, if I don't answer or hang up, it's no loss to them. If I accept the call and the real person comes on line and gives their speech and takes a while to realize that I'm not listening, I'm costing them money in wages AND a long phone call :)I answer all these calls now, but just put the phone down and don't listen. I get a bit of joy out of that...
I have received many calls from this number and then blocked them. They just use different numbers and my call block list is pretty much full. I am registered with the Ontario Maketing Association do not call do not send list and it worked fine until a couple of years ago. What happened a couple of years ago? I graduated university and the alumni association gave out my info "to a third party" so that I might get solicited for alumni credit cards, auto insurance etc. I graduated from a Master's program this spring...guess what? The rate of calls doubled. I contacted my alumni association and told them that they were never to give out my personal information again. That's fine and dandy, but the telemarketers they gave my number to still have it and it appears have sold it to more morons. Between this number, the other 12 I've blocked and the ones that still call up to 3 times a day 7 days a week, I'm about a week away from chagning my phone number all together. So glad that the Canadian government is taking this seriously (insert tongue in cheek here).
