no message...can't call back

I keep getting this call. I don't speak Spanish so I don't know what is being said. No, I have never used Craigs list as someone said that might be a clue. I understand about wrong numbers, but this is a prerecorded call.

Today they called my husband and like 4 hours later they called me. Our numbers are very similar exept for the last 3 numbers. i guess it took them 4 hours to dial 200 numbers and get to my number! Its just a scam every time they call we just hang up. A few months ago they called my husband saying he had won a reward for shopping at Wal-Mart LOL. They asked him for his debit card info so they could deposit the reward. He told her she was stupid if she toght he would give to her, and that all they need is the account number not the debit card info!. The woman just stood silent and then asked him if he wanted his reward or not, he told her to stop ripping people off, to start working if they wanted money because thats how he earned his and that she should be ashame to be steeling from people like that, she hung up!

I just got a call. I didn't know the number so I didn't answer. After reading here I am glad I didn't answer.

I just got the same phone call and telephone number on my cell phone, Did not pick up the call. This is so unkind to do this to people, especailly when they are freakin broke. Don't pick up your cell calls or home calls from the 802-949-8989!! They will be reported by the FCC. Promise you all!!.

Faunt said the call was coming from "Caller: VT Pownai" The VT isn't Vermont it's a company in India. I started getting these calls after turning down a caller ID plan that a TMobile/ATT customer rep wanted me to buy. It's $2.99 a month.

It is easy to spoof anyone's phone into displaying any number that the caller wishes. The number displayed, (802) 949 - 8989, is unlikely to be the actual number that the call was made from. Depending on your phone & carrier you can either set this number to automatically go to voice-mail or set it to be blocked. You can download a free spam blocker if you do not have that option on your phone already.

it can never be blocked only changed

yeah same here and ive never put my phone numbers on craigslist or whatever ever
