I never answer any number I don't recognize. Like someone said earlier, if it's an acquaintance, they'll leave a message. I'm fascinated by how many scam calls I get--several every day. How sad for the human race that so many people prey on the elderly, less sophisticated, and lonely. Those on this blog are wise and understand these are scammers, but think of all the folks who get scammed!! So sad.
I just got a call from this number. They left a message on my answering machine that someone from this number had called them about a knee brace....Yeah right...Good one. I will block their number. No one from my house has called that number ever....No need for a knee brace either. Scammers....
Just called. Left no message. Not on contact list , do not recognize # so did not answer. Must be scammer. Will block.
Recieved an unsolicited call & when asked to be removed from the list, a male told me "not going to happen, shut the [***] up!"
I received a call from this number yesterday - it showed up on my Caller ID box. I did not answer. I also have my announcement turned off, and my voice mail turned off also. Any number I don't know get's ignored, but I keep a list of them - date,time,number. Anything I don't end up determining it's legit, gets reported to the FTC. Spoofing is also a big issue.
Got a call from this number.... 804-477-8007... I answered this call because I have family in Virginia... and I thought it was coming from one of them... Anyway... It was regarding a back brace.... press #2 if you DO NOT WANT this... okay.... since I answered... I pressed to... as I was about to hang up the phone... a male subject with a heavy middle-eastern accent says hello... hello... I said yes hello.... He continues to say... "You live in America right and you want a back brace that can be deducted from your insurance right?".... I said... "NO".... very loud... He hung up!
