Called about lowering my credit card interest rates. I just hung up since this is obviously a scam

actually, the government didn't even sell the information. it is/was available to the public for free. They even claimed it is to protect our privacy.

These [***] have called me so many times and I have pressed 3 to be removed from list but they keep calling. The last 2 times I have pressed 1 to speak to a representative but the cow has hung up on me. I have registered a complaint with the CRTC and also Phonebusters as they deal with fraud schemes and I believe this is what this ridiculous company is! The next time she calls I am going to play her game and pretend I am interested and after wasting a lot of her time and providing false information I will insult her and then hang up!!!

I just got this call but they did not leave a message. I called back and the pick up time was long but an answering message came on and said if you do wish to be put on the do not call list, press 1. So I have done that and the message then said, please allow 24 hours for us to process your request. Well I certainly hope they do because that's the last thing I want is to be bothered by telemarketers who think they can scam us! Not this chick, so they'd better watch it!!

The owner's name is United Service from Petersburg, VA 23803.

Call from 8045182490 Apr 1/09. April fool day on them. No message on ANSWERING SYSTEM. Will not answer unknown #. Iam on no call list. Do the same!

OMG! This is just awful, they have called 6 times in the past 6 days. First three were messages on my machine, called the number back and pressed 1 to be taken off the calling list. 4th time, They called again, I answered and asked them to take me off their list, message on machine again, this morning they called again and when I asked for info. on their company they hung up! I am getting sick of this. Is there anything we can do?
