I answered and the gentleman asked if I wamnted to lower my interest rates on my credit cards, I told him No that I didn't, and he called me an F-ing idiot, and hung up. I called the # back and was asked if I wanted to be added to the no call list.
getting one or two (recorded) calls per week from this number regarding my credit ratiing (no problem) and they wil give me better interest.live in senior complex and many people getting these calls. Call advises to pres #3 and they will not call back. This obviusly part of the scam.I just hang up and tell others to do the same.
I called the number for JPM 1-888-878-1014 and the woman said she will remove my in 10 days, she said she can see my number and quickly read back some 207 phone number. I told her that she was a liar as I was calling her on Skype and she had no clue what my number was!
I have selected #3 to be removed several times so today I pressed 1 to talk to an agent and I asked him what company he was calling from as I am on the do not call list as well and I wanted to report him because I am sick of this bullsh*t. When I asked him his company he hung up immediately.*69 got me 804-518-2490.So my question is why is this scam going on year after year is no one interested in stopping these obvious thieves?
Kept getting calls from this number for several weeks. I finally picked up phone on Monday. Got a pre-recorded message about some credit card offer and to press "1" to speak to a live person. Went ahead and did just that. Answered the first few questions with fictitious names, etc. then told the guy to hold under the pretense to look for some info for him and left him there for quite a while until I heard him hang up (must have been about 15 minutes later). Never got bothered by this number again!
Apparently being on the Canadian do not call list is being used by US companies - so we can expect more of the same! Damned pain in the rear!
This number called me today. I have blocked their number. You can get the block feature from your phone service provider. It's all you can do. I tried calling the number back but got a busy signal. I hate these people who call and leave no message.

Got my name wrong, no where near close to the person they're trying to scam/contact. Call came from North Texas, left no company name, nothing. Shady asf, 888 area code is commonly used by scammers so this may not be legit.

Sent an email trying to encourage people to call Bank of America at this number. As phishing attempt go, this one was better than most. I can smell these things a mile away.
