I was billed for a log distance call to Triton Global Service .I DO NOT make long distance calls . Bell has issued a credit to offset it on my bill
I got charged $3.49 + taxes on my Rogers business bill for this same number. Rogers reversed the charge and I called Triton Global as you recommended and they blocked our number as well. thanks for the information.
The response I received from Shaw for this issue is that they are unable to reimburse the fee and that I have to call Triton global to dispute the charge. (1-866-340-4990, Mon-Fri 10am-6pm EST)Shaw also said the charge is for connecting to those annoying automated messages "congratulations, you have been awarded [insert random company and reward points here], press 1 to continue."
So I spoke with Triton and they said the charge a result of "calling a toll free number that was no longer in service, then pressing '1' to connect to directory assistance at a charge of $3.50". Because it was a charge on a Shaw bill, they could not refund the charge, but put a note on my account that I was disputing the charge and to block the number from future use.I then called Shaw back and provided them with the details of my conversation with Triton after which they then proceeded with the refund of the charge. The reason Shaw could not refund the charge initially was because it does get processed by Triton and if there is no note on my account with them that it is a disputed charge and the number has been blocked, then Triton will reject the refund request saying that it is a valid transaction. So in Summary:1. Call Triton first to dispute the charge and block the number2. Call your service provider, tell them you have disputed the charge and blocked the number and ask for them to process the refund request.
My recent Bell bill had a $3.49 fraudulent charge from Triron Global Assist. Apparently they use old 1-800 numbers to "hook" Canadians and charge them a fee for no service. I called Bell to complain as well as logged a complaint with the CRTC. The person I talked to from Bell was aware of this scam company and helped me out. They need to shopped and shut down! Bell Canada and or the CRTC needs to take action to STOP this criminal activity.
Same charge from Triton as everyone else got - $3.49. I called Bell but was told they were not authorized to reverse this charge, and suggested I call 866-340-4990 (Triton). DO NOT PRESS ANY NUMBERS IF PROMPTED as per the Bell rep, who very kindly tried to make the call for me so that I wouldn't get dinged again. He said to just stay on hold. He also said that this happened when I answered an incoming call from a number that was the same as my home number. I knew better but answered it anyway. And I didn't hit 1 to continue - there was just dead air. But we still got charged.
I received my August bill from SHAW, and I am charged $3.49 from Triton Global it shows I called 807-788-3547 on July 27, 10:18PM. I checked all my outcall and neither toll free# nor this 807-7881246 appears. Shaw said I have to call Triton to find out? I believe it is a Scam as everybody had and will have. Should I report to police and the police can catch the criminal guy to protect all our society from scam? I will not pay this money bill until things being sort out.
Number has appeared on my Shaw bill on July 24th. We never made that call. Will speak with Shaw in the am.
When I received my Rogers bill this morning I noticed a charge under Third Party Call for 3.49. Called Rogersand had a very uncooperative sales person on the other side and kept on telling me to call that numberto find out why they have charged my company this amount. I called that company and they said the number has been changed and to get the new number will cost me $3.49. Off course I hung up and Rogers have agreed to credit myaccount. This company should be taken to court as it costs a lot of time to sort this out with the phone companies.
