My elderly mother received this $2.99 charge on her bill for the same phone number. She writes down all of the long distance calls that she makes and she knows that she didn't call that number. She called Bell and got nowhere with them. Nice that the multi-billion dollar company has to stick the $2.99 charge to an elderly woman on a fixed income. Anyway, she told me about the charge and I found all of your posts regarding the number. Thank you for all of the information. It made my mother feel better that she wasn't the only one in the situation. She called Bell back armed with this information and she took one woman's advice to go straight to the top. In the end, Bell caved and revoked the charge. They also put a block on her phone so that number can't be called from her phone, even though she didn't call it in the first place.Thanks again

Triton Global Charge on my phone bill (Shaw) for $3.49, one minute - totally bogus.

Just received my monthly telephone bill and have been charged 3.49 + taxes for Op Assist 9:01AM 807-788-1246, Reviewing all other posts I find this to be a scam and will contact my provider in hopes to have the charges reversed.

Got a $2.99 charge to Triton Global Dir-Assist on my March Bell. Thanks for the ideas on how to proceed with this.. Will do so this week...

Same situation for me on January 31 - I did not call this number and emailed Triton and go the same responses. Charged 2.99 on my bill. Triton claims I dialed an 800 number that had been changed and that I had pressed 1 to get their directory assistance. That did not happen. Bell charged me the 2.99 plus tax. I filed with the CRTC on line...on principle, not the amount!

We got a billing from them as well. it took 2 phone calls before Bell credited our account.

Had $2.99 charged on phone bill from Rogers. It says Third Party Call for Triton Global. Rogers credited right away.

I just got this $2.99 charge on my Shaw bill. When I phoned them they told me that this charge is from Triton Global for a directory assistance. After reading on Triton Global info about this # I can see that this # has generated lots of complaints. I do not understand that this stratege continues on and on. I did not accept these charges and it is wrong to get bill for it. Hope that by reporting it will finally get someone attention at Triton that this # should be blocked.

disconnected once so far and on hold for a total 45 minutes waiting for Bell to look into a $2.99 charge from Triton Global, cost more in wasted time than what the credit would be if they decide to issue one. no wonder the scams work so well

I received a charge for $3 on my Shaw cable bill this month. When I called Shaw they said it is because of calling a directory assistance number too 1-807-788-1246, but I have never dialed that number. Then Shaw said that is because somebody called me and asked my number to pay for that call. But I have never had that kind of call too! Eventually after one hour wasting my time to argue with Shaw, they reversed that charge only for this time!!!! I asked them to block this service as I'm not interested to be scamed by this kind of game, but they said they can not do that!!I had the same experience with Rogers one year ago when I received $25 extra charge on my bill. I called Rogers at that time and they said that was because of 5 "special" text messages that I had received from a third party!! I asked who that third party is, but they said noting! I asked them to block or remove that service, but they said they are not able to do that!!! They said I have to pay that extra charge because Rogers have to pay to that third party company!!!! I think they are sucking people by this scaming. The third party company and Shaw and Rogers share in that scam to suck people. They are all working together in this, making money for each other.
