I just wanted to know if the number matched who they say they were. so many of these calls won't identify themselves (hang up) or give you some line, these guys match but I checked anyway.the thing I hate is the robo calls and this number was a human.

First it starts by phone calls with no one on line. For about one year. I answered one time to tell them i want to kill them.... They called the next day and every day for 2years, Now i got my first post card from them . They are using the phone book to get the address. How i know is that the post card has my "phone number name" on the card...... 5 days after i blogged on this blog. Also the information that someone put on this board of the owner and names has been taken off. What could this mean. I was using the name "mr killer" the mailing address: The Nielsen Co. 1 800-237-8611 501 Brooker Creek Blvd. Oldsmar, Fl 34677 Message to Nielsen ....Don't call me ever...... i don't want to come to Flordia.... I live 40 miles from Fla...I might hurt you a lot.

Called 3 times in one evening. Said they're in Orange County, FL. They're spoofing a number, using more than 10 digits.. 578133669800

Just received a call a call from someone to claiming to be a representative of Neilsen ratings and was inquiring of a selective group of homes in my area for technology purposes... There weren't selling anything but rather a survery. something is not right.

I've done several mail in surveys for Nielson and don't think I've ever gotten more than a dollar. I told them the other day I am no longer interested in doing their surveys and they called again today. I think that means I can turn them in to the FCC for ignoring my wishes to not call me again and I can turn them in.

They have called twice this week. Caller ID does say THE NEILSON CO. I haven't answered either time. They leave no message. They have to be using a database of phone numbers to have called twice in three days. Random generated numbers wouldn't have called again so quickly.

I too have been harrassed by repeated calls from this number several times a day for several weeks now. Twice I answered and told them to take me off their list. It didn't stop.

Have tried this several years ago. More trouble than it was worth. Most of the programing they were asking about we don't watch. Considered it a waste of time. They called this time--we did not answer.

1. It doesn't matter if you are on the national do not call list, because Nielsen is a media research/survey company. They don't sell anything and are exempt from the National DNC list.2. TV shows live or die by Nielsen. Next time your favorite show is cancelled, blame yourself.

They called 3 times: August 3 at 12:56 pm, August 8 at 11:14 pm, and tonight (8/15) at 11:24 pm. The left a message the first time, the next two times left minute long blank messages. I've never spoken to them, and who calls this close to midnight? Blocking them!
