If this company was reputable they would stop calls and remove your name once you requested them to do so.If you need the money that is great go for it since you have the luxuary to sitting around all day and watching tv.I have asked to be removed and they continue to call. I report them everytime. Now I put them on hold and play them music till they hang up.Waste their time by answering and laying down the phone. Not answering does not waste their time since it is auto dial. Answering lets them know they have a bite then a real person has to talk with you. Put one of you kids on the phone tell them its grandma

Why should people or companies who do "surveys" be exempt from the DNC list? Nielsen is just another leech annoying and harassing people in their quest to make money doing nothing that benefits real people. I personally do not care how much corporations have to pay to advertise on television. Also, it's my phone, I pay to have my number unpublished, and I don't want to be bothered by people I did not give my number to. How hard would it be to make robo-calling illegal? And then enforce it. Perhaps we should reduce the salaries of the legislators who do nothing to benefit us. Let the corporations pay ALL of their salaries, as that is who most of them actually work for. If we do this for all categories, FCC, FDA, Congress, et al., we probably won't have to pay any taxes at all.

You're right. I've done a few too. Currently, we don't watch TV since we live in the shadow of a mountain that blocks the regular signal, don't want to pay for dish, and aren't interested in the exorbitant cost of having them run cable out to us. We watch only certain shows via the internet or by renting the previous season. I reported this to Nielson when they asked the last time, so I am surprised that they would call me. Maybe they want verification that there are folks out there not watching the tube? No need to get hostile with them. It's all part of the entertainment business. If folks refused to take part in their surveys, then they have nothing to base programing on. So, basically it's like not voting for your favorite candidate and then getting angry when they lose. Hope my favorite programs get renewed for another season despite the fact that we watch with a delay.Plus, they give you enough to buy a cup of coffee as a thank you. Pretty cool.

I couldn't even tell you how many times we get called from this number on our home land line. Usually I just hang up. Today however something different happened. The number called, and when I answered it was a recording... which merely said "This is a message for...(then rattled off some random 5 or 6 digit number)" after which the line just went dead. This Neilsen tv ratings bunch calls our house probably 20 times every couple of weeks.... not to mention the dozens of other calls we get like this from other companies... its ridiculous... what really aggravates ME is when they call at 7 or 8 oclock in the morning... and it happens more often than you'd think. I don't think asking these companies to put you on a "do not call list" amounts to a hill of beans. I've probably told calls that a thousand times and I can't think of even once it actually resulted in them not calling anymore.

THIS IS VERY ANNOYING!!!! ANYONE WHO KNOW ME DOES NOT CALL AFTER 9P.M. AND GET THESE CALLS ALL HOURS OF THE DAY ... DO NOT RECONIZE #, I NEVER ANSWER AND NEVER WILL. STOP CALLING ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Live caller at 9:18pm US EDT. Politely stated I didn't want to answer questions and please remove me from the call list. By the 3rd time they tried to continue the conversation I told them I was hanging up.

WOW... I don't think they call here THAT many times per day... but they do call probably 20 times every week or so
