i had the same.....with the "Your VISA card has been deactivated, please entered your card number to re-activate".....SERIOUSLY?????????
Me too, I got an automated message "alerting" me that my debit card has been de-activated due to a security feature. Thankfully I have a personal relationship with my bank and knew immediately that this was a scam. I humored the automated message and found that they wanted me to provide them with my debit card number! Yeah right, that's not going to happen. this call was received my me april 13, 2010 at 605 pm.
I RECEIVED THE SAME THING ON MY CELL PHONE AND THEY ASKED FOR MY ss# AND ADDRESS. wHEN i QUESTIONED, THEY HUNG UP. i TRIED TO CALL BACK AND THEY SAID THE NUMBER WAS NOT VALID.

I got the same call!!! was busy at the time, cooking and talking on the other line, i seen it was an 817 area code and that is where i opened my account at, in texas(figured it must be the bank) i did enter my numbers!!!! but when i was done i clicked over to finish talking to friend and really didnt feel right about the whole thing so i proceeded to call the bank and they said they would absolutly not have a recording like that and would have to immediatly close my atm card!!! i called the number after getting off the phone with the bank and it states the the phone number is no longer in service!!! go figure!!! i just hope that in the few minutes it took to cancel my card that they didnt get anywhere!!!!!!! what can we do about this???????
This was my experience also. Except they called me at 7 am and woke me from a sound sleep. As I was disoriented I pressed one. I was then asked to enter my 16 digit account number; I hung up. I called Verizon to be sure something wasn't activated on my cell phone when I pushed one. I was informed no changes have been made to my account.
Just got one, similar to the many others described above. Computer Voice:"Your ATM card is going to be deactivated. Press 1 to re-activate it". Me:"er...ok". Computer Voice:"Enter your card number". Me:"If you're about to deactivate the card, you should already know the number. You don't need me to tell you that".. I tried entering some obviously fake numbers like "1234" and "0", but Computer Voice rejected them and hung up on me after 3 attempts.
got the same call this afternoon. hung up before pressing one. called my bank, the accounts are fine. my bank will be reporting them.
