I too have a VW and these people don't leave messages. I too will be blocking this number.
did not answer - from reading the complaints it sounds like the recall work that I had done 11-10-09 on my vw, they were trying the same with me and the VW dealership in Irving, TX gave them my number.
I recently got a new iPhone and haven't set up my voicemail yet. I keep getting a call from this number, and after seeing all of this I'm glad they can't leave me messages!I also have a VW Beetle. It's due for an oil change, but I'm sure there's other stuff they could holler at me for. :(
I got a legitmate call from this number, on behalf of Lamps Plus, with whom I had placed an order a while back. The caller let me know that my item was not yet in stock and then told me the revised shipping date.Nothing about a car.So, I guess sometimes this number is used for other purposes.
This number has called me several times over the last week or more. I never answer, and they never leave a message. I took my VW Jetta in for repairs in Sept-Oct (not to a dealership) so maybe that's how they got my number.
I have had SIX calls from this number today alone! They call at least four times a day, but when I answer there is no one there. If I ignore the call or let it go to voicemail, they do not leave a message. I am getting very annoyed!

I received a text with this phone number stating that it was from the United States Postal Service and that I needed to open up an urgent notice from them.
called and then hung up, left him a kurt voicemail about wasting peoples time. scammers are prevalent, be careful and don't answer this call
