I have a VW and they keep calling me daily for the past six days. Yesterday they called twice and they never leave a message. I haven't and won't answer the phone when they call, but I am wondering if they will not stop calling until you do pick up.
left recorded msg from Steven's Creek VW in San Jose about "special offers". I had a car serviced there 2 yrs ago. I don't even own a VW anymore! Annoying.
Received a call from this number today. I have a VW also. Usually the dealership contacts me after a major service. Thanks guys for posting this info.
Phone rang, no voicemail. I own a VW. Judging from the comments I've read, I will be calling my dealership to have a word with them.
This # called me as well but left no message, I have a VW so I'm sure the VW people sold my # to whoever.
They are now calling for Infiniti service. The area code is Southern California. Rec'd a call 2 days in a row. Asked I be removed and they said it would take 48 hours. We'll see.
This is a major scam. Do not give them any info. They call businesses, cells, you name it trying to get people to commit to something when they have nothing to do with you actual vehicle. They called me to tell me that my warranty was expiring when I had 2+ years and 40k+ miles left on it, so clearly they are not getting our info from the dealer. And you are right, they do not take you off of the list if you 'unsubscribe' (I don't remember subscribing in the first place...)What they are doing is a crime, and if anyone knows how do bust them for it, they certainly should.
You are clearly on drugs, work for Peak Performance, or both.I do surveys regarding my experiences at dealerships all the time - delivered via email which seems to be standard fare for most dealerships. Unsolicited phone calls are never appreciated at home, and on a cell phone I'd consider THAT rude. My cell is only for friends and family. If I gave my cell number to my service advisor so they can reach me when my car is done for work, that is the ONLY person outside of my friends and family I want calling, and ONLY for that instance. If the dealership wants my opinion, send me an email, ask me to fill out a questionnaire while I'm at the dealership, or some other method. Don't have a call center call my cell phone everyday. For point of reference, my calls I'd answer would have nobody on the other end; dead air. Some they would hang up AFTER I answered. Sorry, that's not someone "just trying to do their job" - that's harassment. And if someone is pitching 70k service to someone with 40k on their car, they're not "doing you a favor". It's 100% marketing & solicitation, through and through. There is NO defense for this practice. It's obtrusive and ridiculous.
