A call from this number came into my work line. I was out and did not answer the call. There was a short voice mail but basically empty - all I heard was a the faint sounds of a call center in the background and then they hung up.

Explain the problem with your employer and have them block that number..

And I have written to the company asking for information concerning what debt they are trying to contact me in regards to and gotten no reply, but still get extremely rude phone calls demanding that I return their call.

Avante called and said we had credit card debt. We do not own a credit card.The frightening thing was they had our ssn but no date of birth.

This company has been calling several weeks leaving messages instructing us to call Tom Jacobs about a debt. I do not owe anyone anything and when you answer their calls a recording picks up. They call several times a day and leave these messages on the answering machine. If anyone knows how to stop them please leave a post; maybe a class action lawsuit is in order!

Company continues to contact me on the home office fax line at akk houra looking for a Robin Hinant. Upon calling them back at 832-476-1740 or as of today 281-501-7534 as requested and making sure this is not concerning me, they are rude, assinine and upon being fussed at by them about this is the number they have listed and it is not their problem if this is the only number they have to call for Robin Hinnant they refuse to believe that this is not the Robin Hinnanr residence, and they hang up on me without warning. I continue to be told that they will remove this number of mine that again is a home fax line from their registry to only be contacted again and again by the same folks looking for this person named Robin Hinnant. If I knoew the person, I'd give them a piece of my mind and turn them in!!!

I received a call from them tonight. Concerned, because they said it was in reference to a utility bill, I called back. I spoke with a woman who was EXTREMELY nasty. They had my former married name, the last four digits of my SS#, but an address where I've never lived and an account number that is not mine. They have a website, Avante USA, that identified them as a company that assists in collecting "accounts receivable."
