I too have recieved calls at my work not at home though never heard of these people. Same deal want to collect debt from me before they sent it to court. called from 513-898-0538 but told me to call 844-498-0538. called the 513 area code number and it redirected me to the office but they are closed. Said they sent something in the mail but I have yet to recive anything from them.
just got a call from these people. said they had a file and a case number. didnt mention a company name
Received a call on my cell from 702.267.6757 from a "Susan Smith". Claimed that I wrote a bad check to her company and unfortunately she has no choice but to turn this matter to her NSF team with the recommendation that their rights be reviewed in reference to this matter. She advised me to call 844.498.6545. I've checked my bank and do not see any NSF payments made to anyone. I'm not sure what she is referencing. From what I remember from MY experience working in a collection call center, it is illegal to mention ANYTHING specific regarding the matter when leaving a message as it violates credit privacy laws. My name is NOT on my voicemail, so it is not even validated that this number is mine.
I missed the call from William King with Summit Receivables in Nevada, and I was left a voicemail. When I returned the phone call Amir answered the phone and transferred me to William King. I asked William King why he called my phone, and he said because he wanted to speak with someone (I am keeping their name confidential). I asked William King again why he was calling my phone number and he began to scream over the phone. He told me "Listen, it's simple. Pass the person the message!", and hung up on me. First of all what is the message? And second of all, it seemed like it was very difficult for William King to tell my why he was calling my phone. I cannot believe this is some sort of business who speaks to people like that over the phone. I looked up the company and I don't know who would hire these folks. I am a civilized person but if I wasn't, I would love to knock his teeth out for speaking to another person the way he did. He was definitely not raised right.
Called from a 770 area code and when I advised I AM NOT giving my credit card number to some random [***] person over the phone. The guy "John" provided the 844 number with an ext. 531. Whenever I receive calls from debt collectors I let them know this call will be recorded and I usually forward to my lawyer if necessary. People !! I highly suggest knowing your rights & obligations when it comes to debt collectors. These people are very fraudulent and possibly rich from scheming so many people.
Just received a call from 813-603-2310 which is local. The voicemail was a pre-recorded message saying they needed to "clarify some time-sensitive information" and directed me to call 844-498-6545. After reading pages upon pages of scam reports about this number I will NOT be calling back!
A debt collector complaining that one of my relatives in another state is not paying their bills. I refused to call my relative or Facebook my relative to question my relative about the debt and the Debt Collector hung up on me when I told him that I didn't work for Summit and that harrassing me was illegal. Summit also uses 844-880-9293
I have no idea. They didn't even call MY phone. They called my adult daughter's phone and left a message for her to tell me to call them. Called in on a 205 area code but left the 844 number and said call Ms. White. Have no clue. I have one outstanding debt from a bank. I closed my account due to payday loans taking too much money over and beyond the amount I authorized. Well the bank didn't actually close the account until the next day. Low and behold, the payday lender took money out of $0 balance account AND THE Bank did not not return the debit and THEN charged me the money from the payday loan guy and a NSF fee. I told them I was not paying anything because I closed my account and the rest is their fault. I HAD received a letter from an attorney and when I told them my side, they returned the debt to the bank and said they were not trying to collect anymore. So I WONDER if THIS is the bank trying to get someone else to collect the debt. I am not paying it!
