you guys they are calling at times other than between 8am-9pm,, go to your local county courthouse, and file a lawsuit against portfolio recovery for violating 15usc1692c part A(1) of the fdcpa. Sue for $1000 plus any additional damages you might have suffered, due to their violation of federal law. You are entitled to sue for up to $1000, without suffering any actual damages. You can do this in your local small claims court without an attorney.

This Company is a mess, say I owe them from 12 years ago. Have no information of I Whom I owe, checked Credit Report and there is nothing there that says I owe. No, what they are doing is NOT legal. Your only recourse at this point is to take them to court and sue them for multiple violations of the FDCPA, which includes calling after 9PM and before 8AM local time, refusing to validate the debt and continuing to call and attempting to collect on an unvalidated debt. You may even be eligible to collect damages under the TCPA (Do Not Call), if your number is registered withDNC and they are harassing a non-debtor.,

Said they were from Bank of America calling me about a fraud alert on my account. When I told them I do not have an account with B o A - they hung up on me. Ironic!
They said it's a business call from northern light. Not real and clearly spam. Northern light must have its phone numbers data leaked.
