I'm in Midwest also and just got called a few min ago. I still have my San Diego phone number so thought it may be someone I know. But glad I didn't answer.
Just got a call from 858-524-4881 from San Diego CA.. I decided to answer and as soon as I said hello the call hung up. In a text I replied ''STOP'' then blocked their number. They'll probably just call back with another number. I don't use my cell number as a contest entry number, etc., so they don't know me or have my correct info - they're just calling random.
Actually, being on the DNC list IS good. It keeps the legitimate telemarketers from calling you. What you said, "it does no good to be on the list, they call anyway", is like saying it's a crime to rob a bank, they rob anyway. Yeah, so tell that to the crooks who still rob anyway. The DNC is helpful deterrent for the law-abiding, not a national auto-blocker for the crooks of the world. Think about it.

Call came in at 3:41P.M. on February 9, 2026. No spoken message was left. I checked the missed call box that read not in service. I checked the phone and there was a dial tone. I assumed the call was a scam.

Calls once or twice per week with voice msg "Brandon from CTS" call me back. WTF is CTS? No context, no real msg.
