portfolio recovery has been harassing me since 2001 for a past debt when I was unable to pay bills due to disability. last year I had a house fire I had to cash a check for 30k and they closed my checking and savings account which were disability SSI account. this company never gives up, even with a 7 year statue of limitation, which attorney forced them to release hold on accounts. they tried to take a percentage. there has to be a way to stop them. after 13 years of trashing my credit and harassing me over and over on the phone 4x daily, I feel the debt was paid just for the obnoxious calls and attacking my accounts twice...which is illegal.
these jerks have been calling me for 2 yrs. I OWN NOONE.THEY HAVE THE WRONG NAME & #.I control my phone & will not talk to these fools.so when they call,I answer, wait 1 second & HANG UP.I refuse to talk to these jerks!!!!
Verminous thieves and bulllies, they had probably no verification for a past statute debt you never owed them in the first place. You owed it to somebody else, who got a write-off long ago on it. How the heck did those bottom-feeding slimers get access to your bank aocount?
Portfoolio Recovery experts have called me this past Tuesday with call #350 since their lawyer Pearson was compelled, by the atty. general's office, to write me a letter first of September, 2011, in which he admitted the debt could not be verified, and in which he stated that Portfoolio had "decided to cease collection efforts." This is an extortion scam. Nevertheless, it is a legal extortion scam. It is allowed to continue by the people who are in Washington to represent you. HAH!Ignore the bottom-feeding vermin at Portfoolio Recovery.
so I get a call from this portfolio recovery people. so these people have called me numerous times got my answering machine has mine and my wifes name. so this time, its time to find out what the deal is. they have called me from two different numbers im interested now. This dude comes on and and say hello, I say yeah what do you want, he says im looking for Johnny Byrant. I said if I was Johnny Bryant would you believe me? he aid I guess lol. Idiot, im not johnny Bryant being that the real Johnny Byrant was a College Basketball Star and I believe from my research went on to be a NBA player back in the day. Johnny Byrant died at the age of 73 and so they call my house hold. SO I call them back and what I say to them is none to pleasant. I think the man that didn't call got the Point hahahaha.
Today is call #355 since the above-named lawyer for Portfoolio told me the debt was not verifiable and that they had "decided to cease collection efforts."-- almost three years ago. So, I am sure they are not calling to try to bully me into paying them ten times what they paid in 2001 for an unverified written-off debt from a credit card on a bank I never heard of. I am sure they are just calling to be nice and see how I am feeling, and to chat a bit. Too bad I never seem to pick up when they make their friendly calls. BTW, noticed in this weekend's paper that the new federal consumer agency is currently working on reigning in the debt collection industry, so maybe, just maybe, there will be some relief from these bottom-feeding vermin?
Called on the 20th. As usual, no message was left. They call us at least once a week. Number on caller ID is different every time.
Some kid who sounded like a stoner called me and asked for a girl by her first name and said it was a business matter. He didn't sound professional at all.
