I have gotten several calls from this company. Explained this debt was from credit card fraud in my wife's name that happened a few years ago. She has alzheimers diease and could never have opened this card. How do you make them stop calling.

They will never stop calling. This bunch of morons uses the telephone as a weapon. This number has been calling me for years and I have never answered , just like many others that they try to harrass. Seems like a gigantic waste of time and money on their part.

They call our home office number.. Usually after i leave so never really bothered. Me. If they call you on Sunday its again there rules and regulations.. Also any information that is found regarding the "Owner" i would say is probably invalid and useless.. I've worked for a worse Debt Collection office then this and we only got hit with one lawsuit.. Filed BK and renamed the company.. Best thing to do is say you don't know this person... [***] have your kids call the number back. They work off commission i'm assuming either so you could have a long conversation with them to waste there time.. Or promise to pay the balance in full and DONT haha. Also, any threats they make are pointless all they can do is call you and say pay me.. You can also let them know when they call you if they contact you one more time that your going to file a lawsuit.. Most people will hang up and disconnect the number. These guys are stupid and cant handle arguments because they aren't very well educated.

These jerks called again today, again I did not answer, again they left no message. They can work their fingers to the bone trying to make contact with me. Obviously from people who have answered, they are rude, arrogant, intimidating, etc. so DO NOT give them the satisfaction of answering; they now know it is a viable number and will never leave you alone!!! In all probability, they have a "Cole's Directory" lists names by ADDRESS and not phone number so they may be looking for any number of people who may have resided in your home. LET'S ALL NOT ANSWER AND PUT THESE JUNK DEBT COLLECTING BOTTOM FEEDERS OUT OF BUSINESS. YOU DO NOT RECOGNIZE ANY NUMBER OR AREA CODE, LET IT GO. IF IMPORTANT, THEY WILL LEAVE A MESSAGE.

Exciting day, Monday! Portfoolio Recovery experts called our home for the 445th time since their lawyer wrote us , more than 3 years ago, that they had "decided to cease collection efforts." Big words. Maybe the people who work there do not know what they mean. In any case, you do not owe these bottom feeders a single penny. They paid for a print-out of written-off debts. The lawyer admitted the so-called debts cannot be verified. It may have been you, and then again, it may not have been you. In any case, the so-called debt is likely years past the statute of limitations in addition to being unverified. So, they paid for these print-outs, and that was their decision to make, but it is not your problem. Let them go pound sand. Do not pick up the phone when they call. If you do, then do not speak with them, do not answer any questions, do not engage at all. Hang up. If their calls really need to stop, then send them a cease and desist letter, with return receipt requested.

THINGS DEBT COLLECTORS DONT CARE ABOUT :STATUE OF LIMITATIONSCEASE AND DESIST LETTERSATTORNEY GENERALTHREATS MADE TO THEMCONTACTING THE WRONG PARTYCALLING FROM 5AM - 8PM MONDAY - SUNDAYTHINGS THAT THEY DO CARE ABOUTME POSTING THISYOU WASTING THERE TIMEMAKING A PROMISE TO TAKE CARE OF THE ACCOUNT, AND NOT PAYING ITATTORNEY'SSAYING YOU'LL FILE A LAWSUITIF THEY CONTACT YOU, EITHER DONT ANSWER, OR CALL BACK LATER AND GIVE THEM A FAKE NAME SAYING YOU KEEP GETTING CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER.. YOU DONT KNOW WHO THEY ARE.. THIS COMPANY IS A PILE OF [***], I BET YOU THEY HAVE UNDER 50 EMPLOYEE'S AND BRING IN UNDER 200K A MONTH. (WHOLE OFFICE) I DOUBT THEY HAVE ACCESS TO ACCURINT AND PROBABLY GET PAID A MAXIMUM 33% OF WHAT IS COLLECTED. IF IT IS YOUR DEBT THEY ARE CALLING ABOUT, DO NOT MAKE A PAYMENT WITHOUT A LETTER IN THE MAIL. ALSO MAKE SURE YOU GET A ZERO BALANCE LETTER.. PAY WITH CREDIT CARD INCASE THEY DO NOT GIVE YOU A ZERO BALANCE LETTER, SO THAT YOU CAN CONTACT YOUR CREDIT CARD COMPANY TO HAVE THE TRANSACTION CANCELED...ALSO WHAT EVER AMOUT THEY DEMAND IS USUALLY MADE UP. ONLY PAY THE CHARGE OFF AMOUNT. GENERALLY HALF THE AMOUNT THAT THEY ARE ASKING :)

Portfolio Recovery, a debt collector trying to collect debts beyond statue of limitations. And because they dont actually track the "beginning date" of the debt, they continue to call on a debt since 2003
