This number was Aetna's Healthy Lifestyle coach. They called me because I missed a lifestyle coach session.
It is Aetna. It is a healthcare nurse, who does follow up on the phone. They ask a million invasive questions about your personal healthcare that they have the information for on their monitor, when I asked her why she didn't have the information she read me what she had, all was correct. They want to make sure you are following up on your health care with appointments, and monitoring your medications, interactions, and if you take your vitals at home they want to know what your last stats were. You can request they do not call you anymore and it will not affect your coverage, it is voluntary. I just told the very polite and clueless nurse today not to call me back anymore, after this my third phone call from her, asking me questions she already had the answers for. Again this is Aetna, it is a followup nurse, and they already have your info on the monitor screen in front of them.
This is a legit call from Aetna or one of Aetna's services (in my case, their wellness program which I am a subscriber to). Voicemail was left from the representative with whom I regularly work. Asking DOB to confirm you are you is customary since they are discussing PHI with you.
