I received a call from hillcrest tell me they were going to put a lein on my in laws home due to my debt. Cause I owe 1st line secrity I told them that I was told that they had went out of business and ms cox then say they did they did a chapter 13 and reclamied the debt she the sd she will give me a settlement off of 1007.78 I told her I can not pay that I ask where are they located and she sd that thay were located in california after setting up a payment with them for 150 I then looked on line for this company and seen all the compliants about threat I'm going to cancel my payment cause they r nothing but a debt collector and they will get there money

i too was scammed by protect america. well not scammed, just didn't work properly, but i tried to fulfill my contract. after being robbed twice at one location and once at another, the police were called 8 hours later. i refused to renew my 3 contracts, sent them a timely letter, for all three contract with numbers on them, ever since they have been trying to tell me i shoould have sent 3 letters and billing my (bank account by eft) for the other two contract, after another call i got one more contract a year late, cancelled but billed but they are still billing me for the last one which i refuse to pay, hence, hillcrest,d and associates.

WOW. As another person who was scammed by First Line into signing a 3 year contract (after being told it was a 1 year contract) I find it interesting that not only was my alarm set off several times with no response from First Line and the motion detectors, and glass break detectors dead within 2 weeks..... but I was not the only one that had these problems! I wrote several letters to the company informing that they had broke the contract by not monitoring my system and I was no longer going to pay for their services. I had several other alarm companies that spotted my "Firstline" sign come and try to sell me new service stating that First Line had gone out of business only to start receiving debt collection notices several months later from Alarm Services and now these rude voicemails when I get home from work. I am not avoiding paying my bills because I don't want to. Yes, I am an adult but responsibility goes both ways!

I've been dealing with these people for only about a week and a half. Just tonight, I called Alexandra Mathis back after getting her message and she said that she would forward my case to her manager and that someone will contact me in about a half hour. Not even 5 minutes later, Jack Ringl called me back stating that he was the supervisor. All I said was, "Hello?" and he proceeded to yell at me. After 10 minutes of him threatening to put this on my credit report and putting a lein on my home and filing this charge and that charge, he hung up on me. I called back and Renee was kind at first. Then she proceeded to raise her voice to me and hung up on me as well after a half hour. What I'm curious is, has any actions been taken against you? I never signed any contract and for some odd reason, they can't produce this contract for me to see. What I'm asking for is very simple. I want to see the contract that they are collecting from me.

Weren't paying attention huh? The thing that makes a debt collection scam a scam is that you don't owe them.These people aren't rude because they don't know any better, it's a intimidation tactic.What you didn't say in this extremely long post was that you work for a collection agency, and take offense to the bashing. Get a thicker skin or new job, now you see how the customer feels.

Excellent and informative posting. Thank you very much for the lead to Bud Hibbs. Hillcrest Davidson has a "D" BBB rating and 3 on Bud Hibbs for a reason. I feel so sorry for these call center trollers. Just blah-blah-blahing people into anger. My collection is in regard to Firstline/SAI's failure to ever install a working system and now they want dough from me!

Same here got a call out of no where from that firm saying I owed money to a vision security. I call them back they say I got money in my account to pay off what I owe on that bill and that they see it on my credit report. That is so wrong to see what people have in their accounts. Then he argued with me that the money I saved up to pay my mortgage could be used to pay off my debt. I said my mortgage is more important that his bill. He said that his bill should be paid off and that my mortgage is not important, that I should cash out my retirements, etc to pay off my debt and get it off his desk. That's just too bad that he pushed me that way and I hung up on him.

this collection agency calling with there law firm name is is nothing but some immigrant [***]-holes trying to steal money from people that refused to pay this bankrupt and totally unorganized alarm company that we actually put our trust in to protect our homes... NOT! what i received from the alarm company was a break in at my home and no monitor co. to call the police. sure i breached my contract...
