A guy by the name of Chris Crawford called me from this number and left a message urging me to call him back at his "office" but did not state what company or industry he works for. He also called and left a message with my neighbor for me to call him back. When my neighbor asked what it was regarding, he told him it was "personal". Who the !@#$%&* is this guy, and where does he get off calling my neighbor to get in touch with me! I think it's a scam...
it is Hillcrest, Davison & Associates in TX.i just recieved a letter from them from First Line Security that sold my contract to SAI. BEWARE of these companies
You know it is funny that the same people go on different websites crying about debt collectors calling just pay your bills, fulfill your contracts and you wont have these problems. And just in case you didnt know a debt collector can't go into detail about what they are calling for it is against the law, all they can leave is a name and number and the urgency that you call back. People always find a way to get collectors in trouble but I'm sure they would love to call and say he guy this is a bill collector you owe money so call me back so you can pay it. The truth of the matter is that we are all adults, and we know what bills we owe. The problem is that anger is channeled at at the wrong people. As much as we dont like it, calling people that owe money is their 9-5 job and at the end of the day they have families tto provide for so just pay the bill or change your number. Posting bad things on websites about someone who is the middle man is never the answer. I don't ever see people saying I called this company or that company and cursed and yelled at them it is always us pointing the finger. I have bill collectors calling me, I explain that I know it is there job to do it and just explain there are no hard feelings but I'm not paying if i were it would have been paid by now. Magically honesty works, see they feel like there is no money so why waste time.
We got a call from Hillcrest, Davison & Associates today. It was regard to First Line alarm company. Long before this, we consulted with an attorney decided not to honor the contract my wife had signed with First Line because of their shoddy service (the motion detector would not work, they could not fix it, they argued that we were locked into the contract but they were not obligated to fix it, etc.) We got one attempt at a call from Amanda 1:08 p.m.today leaving a voice message demanding that my wife (who signed the contract) should call them soon. In addition, they called a buddy of mine on his cell phone (I think his name was on the contract as a reference) urging him to tell my wife to call Amanda. My wife called that number. Amanda was very arrogant and rude, claiming that my wife was trying to avoid them (after only one attempt at a phone contact!) and that we were holding the equipment "hostage" (we invited First Line to make arrangements to retrieve their equipment) and she stated that she was going to report her to the credit rating agencies. My wife refused to make any payment. I have found very little information about Hillcrest, Davison and Associates on the internet. They do not have a website or an adress. I don't believe they are an attorney, just bill collectors. My guess is that they are a two-bit outfit, recently put together, and just about as slimy as Firstline. Their tactics are very belligerent and they are hoping that they can intimidate you.
Chris Crawford is a scam artist. He needs to be stopped!!! He's is liar, and his threats are ridiculous. I hope they catch this A$$hole.
You tell people to just pay their bills, sometimes things happen beyond our control, such as an illness. If they are calling you as you state at the end of your message - why don't you practice what you preach and pay your own damn bills!

The FDCPA (Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, 15 USC 1692c(c)) restricts debt collectors from engaging in conduct including the following:• Contacting a third party who does not owe the debt, such as a relative, neighbor, or your employer. Co-signers to the debt, however, may be contacted by the debt collector; • Threatening to refer your account to an attorney, harm your credit rating, repossession or garnishment, without actual intention of action on the threat. Please note that a debt collector may warn you of an actual impending intention to refer your case to an attorney or to report your debt to a credit agency. What they cannot do is use a false threat to try to intimidate you into paying; • Making repeated telephone calls or telephone calls at unreasonable times. The act defines unreasonable times as contat before 8:00 AM or after 9:00 PM, unless you have given the debt collector permission to contact you during those hours; • Placing telephone calls to an inconvenient place. For example, contacting you at work in violation of a policy by your employer that is known to the debt collector or following a request by you that they not contact you at work; • When placing a telephone call to you at work, informing your employer of the purpose of the call, unless first asked by the employer; • Using obscenity, racial slurs or insults; • Sending letters which appear to have come from a court; • Seeking collection fees or interest charges not permitted by your contract or by state law; • Requesting post-dated checks with the intention to prosecute if they bounce; • Suing in courts far removed from your place of residence; • Making certain false representations in association with efforts to collect the debt, including the false claim that the person contacting you in relation to the debt is an attorney, falsely claiming to have started a lawsuit, using a false name, or using stationery that is designed to look like an official court or government communication; • Using false claims to collect information about the debtor, such as pretending to be conducting a survey; • Threatening you with arrest if you do not pay the debt.
